During CNN's Presidential Debate, President Joe Biden accused former President Donald Trump of standing by while insurrectionists rioted at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, adding that "the only person on this stage who is a convicted felon is the man I'm looking at right now."
Trump has been convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records, the first former president to be convicted of a felony crime, and is awaiting sentencing. He is also charged in three additional ongoing criminal cases.
The June 27 CNN Presidential Debate was the first time Biden and Trump faced off this election season. It was also the first debate between a sitting and former president.
