I waited to finish my homework to finally watch this. First of all, what a journey. I found this channel thx to PBS Eons and now is my favourite channel. I got so emotional with this last episode. That must've felt like the biggest success, getting those penguin shots and decent footage, seeing it up there on the billboard and magazines. It must've felt like conquering something huge. I understand a lot of the trip to the antarctic probably did, but especially that.

Negative 10 Celsius is not so cold. I experience winters colder than that. When they were complaining about the cold in other episodes I thought it as like negative 50 Celsius.

Well, I also experienced less than -10°C already, but that's still different to having those kinds of temperatures (and significantly lower) all the time, paired with brutal weather and environment. If you live in a cold area, you should know that there's worlds between -10° and -10° with strong wind.

I wonder what the carbon footprint of the station looks like. Flying and shipping supplies in requires a lot of fuel. Not to mention im sure they use diesel electric generators for power. Do they use solar and wind energy?
