Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I love the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, so I'm curious to try this one too. But man, there are so many foundations I want to try that I can't keep up! I've also been eyeing Rare Beauty and Fenty! 😅

I have eyes on Rare Beauty as well but I have a feeling it might be one of those silicone heavy ones, they just feel funny on my skin and eventually my skin gets all mad about it. Fenty Powder Foundation you think?

@@WeekendsWithG I haven't tested Rare Beauty yet, but I have tried a sample of Fenty and it seems decent. Fragrance is a little strong for me, but it's not too unbearable for my sensitive nose. I have oily combo skin and it sits very nicely on my skin, doesn't crack or patch. So I'm thinking after Estee Double Wear, I'll get the Fenty! ☺️

I think the ppl tht says it has full coverage r probably the youtubers tht tend to overkill on the amount of foundation they put on their face. The amount u use is closer to what I would use on an everyday basis, more Natural. Just built up on areas tht need it and use concealer on spots is how I tend to do my base to achieve tht Natural skinlike look. Been eyeing this foundation for a while since I hv dry skin! Thx for the review!

I was thinking the same thing from watching other videos, it looked way more full coverage and way glowier... it would probably feel a lot more tacky if I used that much. I'm still seeking a good concealer though :)

@@WeekendsWithG I juz tried it out for 3 days, and discovered the following: 1. What u put undearneath the foundation affects the finish. The first day I applied face Oil, primer and sunscreen and I looked like a greaseball. I powdered all.over and thankfully that controlled.the.shine. 2nd day I mixed in a few drops of Oil to my moisturizer. Then same primer and sunscreen. Then waited a few mins UNTIL my face absorbed the skincare, and used a thin tissue to blot off access oils. The foundation looked perfect. Satin finish. Today I decided to switch to a matt finished moisturizer with a few drops of Oil. Got pretty dry looking finish. I do have dry skin, so how I prerp.my skin is important. But all three days the foundation lasted well up to 10hrs. It does fade around my acne marks roughly arpund the 4th hr Mark though. But tht's probably my concealer. Still trying to find a Good long lasting acne concealer that doesn't aggravate or dry out the recovering acne area. I tried Kosas, while it doesnt aggravate, it doesnt offer enough coverage for the really red acne and starts fading quite quickly. I's pretty good for around the eyes if u dun hv really dark circles though. Great for dry skin. But my fav is still Jouer.

I used to wear that a lot more in my younger years but have found it being less friendly on my skin as well. Can't decide if this is a real replacement or not but certainly a contender.

Hi! Have you ever tried the Dior Face & Body? I’d say my complexion is very similar to yours, fair with neutral to warm undertone, and I use the Dior in the shade 0N. I’m wondering if 1W1 would be a close shade match to that?

Hi. Love your videos. Could you be olive or cool yellow? I’m in that category and I hate when foundations are peachy, orange, warm yellow. I noticed with Estée Lauder foundations, even their neutral shades are too pink. Warm shades could still be pink or orange. But I’m guessing 1w1 would be a great match for my NC15 but again cool yellow. Do you know your Mac shade or any other foundation shades so I could get a reference on ordering this exact shade? ❤️

That actually SOUNDS really promising! Cool yellow is deff how I would try to describe it. Any luck on finding something in that matches? I've always settled with -good enough- but matching has always been fussy. My closest MAC shade is NC15, BobbiBrown Neutral Porcelain, Laura Mercier 1N1 to name a few.

@@WeekendsWithG I too use mac nc15 as the depth to find my shade matches. But I heard they also have nc12 and 13 which are more yellow and bit lighter which could be a closer match for us cool yellow/olive but they came out later so we don’t hear much about those shades. Very interesting to be in such undertone. But they have this green primer from NYX you can mix in with your foundations to get a better match 👆

I thought this foundation was so shiny that it showed up any little texture one might have.. I have a friend who found texture she didnt even know she had when she used this. I don't know how to do setting powder, & that's probably the answer to this problem☺

I think overall you have to exfoliate really well, I'm always flaky usually around my nose. The shine factor also depends on how much you put on, it didn't seem necessary to use more than a pump or so for my whole face though in other videos, I notice everyone tends to put on a lot.

Good question, unfortunately I just destashed my DW in the same shade so I can't do a direct comparison but I feel like its a smidge peachier? Hydra-Rescue comes out lighter than in the tube but then dries down about the same as the tube.

@@mimmilofstrand 1N, Ecru is not peachy, but it also doesn't seem to have any warmth either, if that's what you're going for.. It's a good shade though. There aren't too many shades in this foundation, IMO.
