I'm just bummed they didn't move the engines to the wing such as Honda did. Makes sense to reduce drag, cabin noise and vibration, I think this is a mistake on Pilatus' part

Although we Swiss are quite innovative we might be a little less daring than the Japanese so I guess Pilatus stuck to the usual way of mounting the engines. Also for their first actual jet they probably thought switching from prop to turbine is already enough noise reduction... Dunno, just a more or less educated guess

@@teefax1253 A turboprop engine, like on the PC-12, is a turbine engine also, the difference being that the PC-24 uses two turbofan engines. But both turboprop and turbofan engines have a compressor, combustor, turbine, and propelling nozzle. The difference is that on a turboprop the thrust is created by the propeller and on a turbofan engine the majority of thrust is provided by the exhaust jet through the propelling nozzle, but some thrust still comes from the fan. Internally, both engines fundamentally operate like jet engines and both are turbine engines.
