I paid 300 bucks for this sucker, even though I already owned the PC Engine card. The soundtrack is so sparkling and lively in the CD version. This and Super Bonk are my fav Bonks and 2 of my all time fav platformers.

Yet the CD version is missing animations from the hucard version, amazing how that happened considering the CD has far more storage space than hucards.

@@Bloodreign1 can i ask what animations are missing? i can't find any comparison and i noticed that the cd version file size is way larger than the card version

I wish I could enjoy them (3 and Super). The inability to effectively attack-hover in midair compared to the older versions and GB releases really does a lot to make me dislike them, despite the great graphics and music.

Pretty complicated for a game released at the time. Those sprites are huge. The giant baby! Reminds me of Wonderboy III the Dragons Trap for some reason?

My understanding was the cd version had added 4 versus bonus stages which are accessed through small doors in levels an if you played the game with 2 players which is allowed you would battle them there.

holy shit brings back memories; i remember when i did an entire playthrough of this game on the turbo grafx 16, in 2 hours or something, my back was killing me something fierce but it was worth it

...The CD Version is not as "superior" when it lacks a few things the HuCard has... Like the sprites of Big Bonk transformations...

@@Bloodreign1 To be fair I wasn't aware there was more than one to begin with. I just vaguely remember walking across a giant dinosaur fighting cavemen and stuff while the day slowly goes to night.
