I was hoping you'd show us how to actually mount the thing on a desk. I can't figure out the instructions and I can't find any videos on how to attach the desk clamp to the wheel

There is a Big plastic bolt on the clamp. That inserts into a deep screw hole centre bottom of the device and screws in till tight. Place on desk, with the two plastic arms reaching under the desk & use the lower lever to tighten...BUT DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN they break too easily

Ill try to answer some of the questions 1st. This wheel is having a stronger ffb then g29, and in rally games you must make ffb to mimic the "real wheel feeling" so you can turn in fast, and recover it fast. and not so much to mimic the forces of the car like in other games [Asseto Corsa]. Lower tyre load, dampening, and increse wheel central spring effects. And generaly dont play with too much FFB so the wheel feels lighter. 2nd. Forza Horizon 4 is terreble with any wheel, you shouldnt try it any way, on my g920 i couldnt make it to work after hours and hours, and in FH5 is a lot more playble game, they fix a lot of issue and should work out of the box. 3rd. If you dont have a stand for pedals, you must lock it somehow, also the chair. You cannot play with pedals sliding all over :) But you sliding means that is a good brake pedal, with a lot of resistance. 4th. Thoose magnetic shifter paddles sound great to me :) GL racing :)

When I restart my computer the thrust master updater doesn’t pop up when I restart my computer it just boots up normally w out the thrustmaster updater popping up And when I tried to open the application again it set me back to the beginning and I can’t get the wheel to work

I found the process quite quirky. You must follow instructions precisely, so if it says unplug....you must do it.

Loved my T248. Got within 5 seconds of numerous world records with it....but nice to move onto something more robust.

I just brought one today for 500 and yea just by playing it a bit the stearing feels weak and won’t centrer back fast enough.

Excellent for everything else though. Make sure you update to the latest firmware too, I do believe that helps.

Hi pal wonder if you could help me out? Im interested in buying a wheel and im considering the T248 or Logitech g920. Which is better? Ive read so many mixed reviews on both.

Depends what you want to do with it. If you're serious about racing the T248 offers much better FFB and overall it is the better wheel, only significant issue is it isn't so good for Rally & the build quality (whilst excellent and I've had no issues) is built from plastic and not metal....pedals and wheels seem fine, but the plastic clamp is pretty poor.

Just check compatibility with FMS for the T248 and i would recommend that over the Logitech for force feedback reasons alone....That being said, FMS isn't a hardcore sim, so you might well get away with the Logitech too. Guess it comes down to price and IF you want a shifter or not? (As the T248 does not come with one)

Do you mean the bracket? Mine is pretty tight, but I broke my last one by over tightening it, so be careful. I'd suggest some anti slip pads if it is slipping about?

Can anyone tell me if this wheel shows any life once plugged in? Any calibration on the wheel or light up display? I just received one and think it’s DOA…..

Mike, have you installed the plug in? It won't work on PC until you install the drivers and update the firmware.

I have a feeling this wheel is going to be popular once it gets discounted from MSRP ($400 in USA). Only downside appears to be the loud paddle shifters, but perhaps this can be resolved with some sort of diy mod. By the way, I watched several youtube videos recently and FH5 seems to work much better with a wheel vs the earlier games FH3 and FH4.

I wrapped a rubber band around each paddle shifter and it basically dampens all of the clicky sounds while still retaining the clicky feel of the shifters.

Honestly, I think your wheel might be defective. I have have G923 and T248. And the force feedback is more powerful on T248. Huge difference. I did loved the review, great vid.

Hey Moosa, thank you. 100%, the power of the force feedback is about 2.5 times stronger than my G29; it just doesn't return to centre quick enough for rally. If I said it wasn't stronger? Then that was prob due to having to test it on a desk instead of on my driving rig; so thanks for the correction :-)

Thanks for a nice rewiew, I want to buy a t300rs gte but hear many people have problems with it b.o. overheating. What would you recommand take the chance and buy a t300 og t248, and i am definetly more into rally style games , i am confused

The t300 rs has shit pedals try them they're are totally shit the wheel it self it batter but in ffb things the t248 has 3.5 3.9 nm and t300 3.9 but because this a hybrid ffb with gear and belt will have more chances to clipping clipping is when the wheel cannot keep up with the game and ffb reduces or does not simulate Imo got the t248 the only disadvantage is the wheel turning back speed other then that is ok

It seems like it could be marginally better than my Logitech G29, however with the lack of quick release, I am not sure this is a worthy step up over what I have already. I may have to wait, and someday get a Fanatec or something.

I've been playing BeamNG drive with a mouse and keyboard. And although I've gotten pretty good at it, I know I'm definitely missing out by not using a wheel. Fortunately I'm getting one of these in a couple of days. It will be my first wheel controller ever so I think I will be happy with it.

Dr 2 has same issue, just too slow to return to centre....perfect t for road driving or track racing but rally is too much and too fast for this wheel.

@@SimUKReviews depends with some settings change and and 360 540 rotation can handle better then the g29 especially the pedeals are AMANZING on this one

@@davidd_009 the return to centre is the issue, it's just too slow & I don't think rotation will help. The pedals are lovely, as is the wheel for track racing.
