Yeah that would be awesome. I understand all the possibilities and on such a powerful machine it can be almost anything since it's MIDI :) I'm hoping to get a PC3K soon too so such videos (like yours) really show me how great these workstations are in actual use :) Keep those videos coming and best of luck, Lodir

Sounds very interesting. I remember that some old models of Yamaha had a Breathcontroller input, especially VL1 Synth. Nice if PC3 has too! Unfortunately I don't have this option on my K2000 board.

Yes, but it is able to do that too. There has been some people, using the K2 as midi-soundsource for their wind-controllers. In fact, this sound is based on a K2000 sound.

You have a lot of questions. I´d recommend asking in a FB group, or (better) go to mastering Vast Forum.

hi, is it possible for you to post, how you setup the pc3 for breath controller? thanks
@Kaffimusic10 жыл бұрын
Hi, you need a sound that is programmed to respond to it. This one is done quite basically and is based on an old one, made for the K2000. In short, the dynamics are attached to the bc-input, instead of velocity. I also have a small bit of velocity in it, to help my "natural reflexes", but it´s not the main effect. The dynamics of this sound are done by attaching the filter to the bc-input, and a small amount of volume also. It´s just a single layer of a sax waveform. Check out Mastering Vast Forum, you can find some more informations. Search string "breath control", author "KaffiMusic". I haven´t done more since then and will look into that later again. You find this sound attached at one of my posts.

Great job both on setting it up & the actual performance! I'm just now waiting for my PC3K6 to arrive & also looking for what kind of breathcontroller to order...
@antigen47 жыл бұрын
may i ask what breath controller you are using...? i've been looking around but many seem to be USB based - which i presume will not fit in my K2500 jack
@Kaffimusic7 жыл бұрын
It´s one of the old Yamaha BC-series. They are not build any more, since several years but still wanted. That is why they are so insanely high priced on Ebay. This is not USB, it´s an own system, uses a headphone jack.

yes i need to find one that is miniplug oriented apparently

Beautiful! Just a question: is the lead a mixture of sawtooth wave and sax?
