Mostly WoW 7800XT DX11 workaround, 12700KF doesn't raid as well. Played some movie scenes Avatar on the 7900XTX 12900KF, character creation screen looked cool but idk. Have a BG3 hankering. Have a 12400F 3060 12gb getting mated soon, I had to order another cooler misplaced my LGA1700 bracket. I finished my WoW fomo but they announced fated raids next season so I likely have to push raid achieve mounts before we get inconvenienced with that oh the raid (unfated) we need is only up 2 of 3 weeks possibly (unless a toggle on or off actually is implemented). Am having some issues with the older machines in my fleet, some nvmes work fine but others aren't so am stuck in a game of musical storage. My mother might not be shutting down the machines properly in the evening, maybe that is rearing it's ugly head.

5:13 Important!!! 3600MT/s CL18 and 3200MT/s CL16 are *NOT* the same speed at all, only their *_latency_* is the same. 3600MT/s still has higher bandwith, which a lot of games like, and running the memory controller and/or Infinity Fabric at a higher frequency brings a lot of performance improvements overall, especially with AMD. *Also* , tRCD (the second reported RAM timing after CL e.g. 16-*_18_*-18-38) impacts performance MORE than Cas latency, so don't exactly pay too much attention to the Cas latency *only*

@@PCBuilderChannel Sorry, I tried to give *overall* info and wasn't trying to "correct" anything but my comment kinda sounded like that, my bad Yes, 3200MT/s CL16-tRCD18 and 3600MT/s CL18-tRCD22 are functionally the same for FPS *_on Intel_* , but on Ryzen a 400MHz higher frequency easily overtakes those small differences in primary timings, still, the FPS difference is literally 1-2% between the two kits but yeah😂. (sidenote, 3600MHz kits also commonly have better overclocking chips in them) Faster RAM = Faster overall CPU performance. ANY cpu-bound scenario will get smoother performance. Your choice on the 2x16GB 3600MT/s CL16-19-19 was perfect though👌 My comment was only trying to be educational. Keep making these awesome videos!

They gave her hp 4mb 2400 I got her a matched set of 16GB ($21) up grade and we also dropped in a dedicated AMD Low profile Radeon 550RX used. She was playing Genshin Impact in the lowest settings around 25 - 28 fps it now has the ability to turn on a few high and medium setting at a stable 50-54 Fps. Way less choppy. We may drop in an NvMe 2.0 drive some where in the future as the ssd maybe where those earlier hiccups come from. Budget for both ram and GPU was $85 sucks being poor but she waited 2 years for this to happen and kept her grades at straight A's each year! The old chrome book she used is now my sons to learn on.

Hey Jason, I Know you just did this as a finale boost my build.. but I just found your channel a few days ago.. I loved your content! So useful, informative and entertaining! I'm working on building up my very first gaming pc and I'd love your intel on my setup. The plan is to build something great that will last me for AT LEAST 5 years running AAA games (not necessarily on ultra, but as best as possible for a long time until I have to update it again. Bare in mind: a lot of components here were chosen to stay - for possible upgrades in the future - and others I've made my peace with the fact I'm gonna have to change them later on - like the gpu). I dont stream, and I've got a basic monitor along for the ride, it's just for my own entertaining. Here's the catch: some stuff is already bought, because I got great deals on them. This what I already own: - PC case - GPU - Power supply (not this actual one. I Couldnt find the one I bought in the website - I think its a brazilian brand or something.. all I can say is that it's a 1000w, 80+ gold, full modular, PCie 5.0 compatible + PFC) Everything else Im taking your recommendation on (although Im quite found of the idea of keeping the Ryzen 9 7950x; and I'd rather not go the Water Cooler route). No actual budget restriction. But I think 2,000USD is a good cap. Oh and.. the LESS RGB,THE BETTER. pcpartpicker.com/user/th3s0n1c/saved/#view=LJZ8Hx

I went for it because I used your general template for an AM5 7600 build for my cousin last week using the Antek NX410 case, and I was like "how the heck is he just running stock case fans and getting these wildly low temps!?" Tons of airflow, VERY quiet fans (that look decent to boot), great build quality, and good cable management. My single gripe with it is the PSU intake filter. Had to change a few things mainly the gpu because the one recommended wasn't in stock so I subbed it out with the phantom Gaming rx6800 xt. Overall this was a great build. I use it for gaming and primarily playing warzone. So one issue I ended up noticing is I think the ryzen 5 5600 is a bit of a bottleneck for the system, at least with warzone. I was regularly hitting 80%+ cpu usage in game with nothing else running in the background. So I just ended up switching to a ryzen 7 5800x tonight and definitely a big difference, I'm now down to about 60-70% cpu usage while gaming. Again overall love the build and love the channel, keep up the great work!

Nice video! Very informative and you, Jason, always sound so enthusiastic... what SSD would you recommend instead of the Team Group MP34 2 tb? Here in Thailand it's not for sale, so I went with a MP44L 2 tb for about 2800 baht=80 usd, actually our 3rd SSD after WD SN770 and Silicon Power UD85. Over a year ago me and my son bought a i7 11700KF with a huge discount, for +- 192usd, instead of a gen12 i5 12400, about the same price back then.... very content with it, even though it's a dead platform.. hopefully it lasts a few years and combined with a used Sapphire Nitro+ 6800XT for 355usd and 32gb 3600CL17 (tuned to 16), it's pretty powerful.. do you have experience with using a 42-43" 4K TV as a monitor? They're very cheap compared to large monitors, although my son prefers a 2K 34" ultrawide as a future replacement for his 24" FHD screen. Is the 6800XT+11700K powerful enough to drive an ultrawide 2K screen at high fps?

Feelings on the A380 6gb for 94 usd for ultra budget? I personally would roll the dice on a used 1070 or a refurbed 580 but the low profile variant doesn't need a power adapter so less psu needed.

If you have rebar support 8th gen/newer or recent cpus they seem okay for low power/SFF builds. You probably won't be playing day 1 games without driver issues and Starfield FPS might still be an issue from what I've heard (&/ if you change settings it becomes one). I wasn't much into Starfield personally so if that doesn't matter they seem new and decent for that price range. Could also look AMD budget maybe a 5600 or something cheap. 94 is decent though, I like the not needing a power adapter, you can just slot it in. Haven't used myself but that seems appealing just have the newer cpu limitations with rebar for performance.

@@dianaalyssa8726 oh, I forgot that it needs rebar... that definitely could be a deal breaker for some ultra budget builds. I recently built a new rig. Ryzen 7 7700, 7900 XT 20GB, 32GB 6000mHz CL30, MSI Mag tomahawk, with a Noctua U12A, in the corsair 4000x. Love the thing. Rips up 1440 and maxes out my 165 hz monitor on most games. Decent frames at decent graphics settings in demanding things like Ark survival ascended (the reason for the upgrade). To save a little money, and because I don't plan on doing 4k gaming, just wanted to future proof my system for my 1440 monitor for the next few years, I didn't go top of the line GPU. Therefore I decided to go with the 7700 non x version CPU because of it's ability to overclock so similar to it's x version but topping out about 30 watts less and 15--20*C cooler with a steady overclock I knew it would be a beast for what I'll use it for.

@SpoonHurler

OEM keys are just for 1 build (generally tied to one chipset but Microsoft has historically not heavily enforced that unless you change parts more than once a year). Retail keys (which you can buy from vendors with long track records, I use urcdkeys but there are others) can be tied to your microsoft account and move to more builds. They are usually around 20-30 usd. Just buy from a place with a good history and isn't ebay.

Depends on what your budget is, but the cheapest GPU I think that could handle entry level 4K is the 7800XT. As for the CPU the 7600 or 7800X3D are good options. Just curious to any opinion on my mb in the prebuilt i bought a month ago, ( heres what im getting at) its an i5 13400f with the 4060, ( mb- asrock b760m-c), 32 gb ddr5 teamgroup vulcan red 6000 mghz, adata 2tb gen4 legend 800 gold, amethyst ll case and a 600 gold psu.... my goal is to eventually upgrade the 4060 to a 7800xt or a 4070. I put so much info because im really new to this and wasnt sure what info is needed for the question i have.,,, which gpu upgrade and will i need a new psu and is my mb good enough. Im enjoying the 4060 for now but pretty sure soom i will not be. Its very quiet and cool temps,, when i run old games on 4k i do hear the fans but its still so cool temps.

So for Gaming the 7800XT is better than the 4070 unless you really care about Ray Tracing. As for the PSU you'll need to put your build into PC Part Picker and times the watts by 1.5 to see what watt PSU you need. I assume you'll need a new one if you go 7800XT.

Few issues - but a big one - that i3 will bottleneck that GPU by an enormous amount.... This wont allow that GPU to work at its full potential at all. Maybe at 1440p you might catch a break but thats not really a 1440p card

Hi, Jason I was wondering if I should upgrade my i3-1200f to a i5-12600kf or save up and upgrade my rx 6600?( i play at 1080p but have a secondary 1440p monitor which i also use)

Your 6600 would be imbalanced with the 12600KF.

Im so sad i bought RX 6650xt one month ago for 245€... I still ddnt upgraded my CPU and Motherboard, i have i5 2500 with Asus Z-77a, very old, big bottleneck and im crashing in CS2, i was thinking to get i5 12400 or 13500 with a B760 DDR4 motherboard, do you think it's a good idea or should i try to get my RX 6650xt refund ?

So if you're using the PC for Gaming an AMD CPU would be better. A 5600 AMD CPU would go well with your 6650XT.

Hi there, question? Is this a good build for an upgrade XFX Mer319 RX 7800 XT, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Corsair Vengeance 32GB 6000MHz DDR5 Intel XMP, MSI Mag B650 Tomahawk WiFi Socket LGA 1718, Corsair 5000D ATX MidTower Case, Corsair CX750M Watt 80+ Bronze, Corsair ICUE H150i Elite Capellix XT 120mm Fans + 360mm Radiator Liquid Cooler System.
@kelley09162
@kelley09162 11 ай бұрын
So the Cooler is overkill, the Case isn't the best as it only comes with 2 Fans, and you should get a higher rated PSU. The CPU, GPU, and Motherboard as are good choices though as is the RAM if it's 6000 CL30.
@Juniorgalle21

@@kelley09162 I have 3 extra Corsair single fans connected to my current build, well to the Corsair ICUE commander. The commander could connect 6 fans. So in total I have 6 right now. 2 on top, 1 in the back and then the Corsair liquid cooler fans in the front which is the one I mentioned for the upgrade. What do you mean by overkill? Sorry I’m not use to these pc terms yet. I’ve had my current pc build for about 4-5 months.

@@Juniorgalle21 by overkill I mean you don't need a 360mm AIO to cool a 7800X3D. I good Air Cooler can cool a 7800X3D. As for the PSU a Fully Modular Gold rated PSU would be better and maybe get an 850W one.
