If you are not home / unavailable due to some reason during the visitation, they'll inform the available family members to inform you to visit the police station on the same day or the next day. PCC is only valid for 6 mnths if your passport is issued within a year, but if it's more than 6mnths, they'll do come for a visit. It depends upon your local police station (Sometimes they call you to come and visit the police station).
