Only Vertically mount a GPU when it has a water block on it, that was the original purpose of the Vertical Mounting system, so you could see the block instead of it being face down. Surprisingly Gamers Nexus gave it thumbs up, which means it passed the looks test without failing airflow testing. Its one of those interesting cases and honestly a company like InWin could take a lot of cues from a case like this, because while their cases look amazing they are hot box garbage for airflow.

I bought one 2 months ago in black. I absolutely love it. The only thing I see in the future as GPU's become more slot space hungry, this case will be ignored. I feel that you might have to make the next gen even more wider by being able to place a 140mm fan in the back it just might be wide enough for them thick GPU's. That being said, the case begs for custom Water Cooling because of the 3 tempered glass panel display and how much room for the vertical GPU mount. None the less, you guys made a great case. Definitely keeping it for a long while, unless you come out with a better version.

The white version looks super clean and professional. Honestly I love the size of it and the thought gone into the case. It looks great and is very functional, and everything isn't cramped together, and there is more room in the case, thus more room to disparate heat. This would be the perfect case to teach someone how to build a computer. Personally I am going to replace all the fans with rgb fans. I wish it gave u an option to install fans on the top, so there were fans on the top, bottom and back, maximizing air flow.

I've had this case for a few weeks now, love it. This case will run a bit hot unless you fill every slot you can with a fan. In which case my OC'd 4090 runs at 40ºC idle and 71ºC at 100%. While vertically mounted, an enormous GPU like that is just centimeters away from the glass. Point is, it will fit any GPU you put in there. This is my third build and I have never had a pleasant experience doing cable management until now. Plenty of hiding room and tons of cable tie brackets. The included fans are a bit on the loud side so you might want to consider replacing them, but totally not an issue if you have to hear coil whine from your GPU all day anyway :P

3080+ will struggle, its the fan noise more than anything, your GPU will struggle. Most similar cases like Lian li mini run the GPU at 64, the Hyte Y60 is closer to 75-80 degrees. I think the main reason is, It's too close to the glass, and when you get a 4090 it will be even worse. Having all the openings doesnt mean it will have good airflow. The fans will draw cold air from everywhere so there won’t be a good airflow from one direction.
@DavidNewmon
@DavidNewmon 2 жыл бұрын
My case makes more sense I feel like, the GPU + MB gets fresh air from 3 fans on the front and bottom of the case, and the CPU pulls fresh air in the back, then I have 3 fans that vent up through the top (heat rises naturally). This GPU is not getting very good air flow in my opinion. It's got a mixed bag of hot air from the giant CPU cooler blowing hot air into the case, and the fresh air from the bottom. That back fan is way out numbered... 5 fans (2 for CPU + 3 on GPU) vs 1 tiny little ventilation fan in the back.
@BaneSIlvermoon
@BaneSIlvermoon Жыл бұрын
@TheJomamaboy you never want to intake from the top. You lose too much efficiency like that as the hot air in the case naturally gravitates towards the top of the case. Top fans should always be exhaust so the lower density of the hot air helps them do their job.
@BaneSIlvermoon
@BaneSIlvermoon Жыл бұрын
Agreed. Was my immediate thought as soon as he showed the case off. Too many openings, bad for numerous reasons. It greatly reduces the static pressure of the air flow since air can go just about anywhere in the case. It reduces the air flow you want to the critical components. It makes it difficult to achieve positive pressure, and will suck in dust from all of those many openings. (Although if you have enough intakes, it may compensate for some of that by forcing far more air in than is being exhausted.) The one positive it brings is that it's very unlikely to have any pockets of dead air. (Though the location of your fans becomes far more important then) So you'll have at least a little air flow everywhere. But that doesn't make up for all of the negatives. You don't WANT air going everywhere and coming in from everywhere in a case. Might as well just build with an open frame case instead. If I were going to build with this case I'd aim for far more air being pulled in than exhausting out, with the goal of having the positive pressure keeping fresh air quickly flowing out every opening in the case.

the volume of air coming into the case is equal to the volume of air exiting the case, then a perfect balance has been achieved, with that said the case only matters as long as you can pull out the hot and cold air equally. The way everyone is installing their fans create a vortex Recyling the hot air with the cold but over time will not cool. Like said before you need direct airflow hot out cold in. Sometimes too much ventilation causes this to rely completely on the fans rather than science of airflow.

@BaneSIlvermoon

@TheRedRavenTRR ^^^ This. Every test comparison I've ever seen, including my own, your GPU drops a couple degrees Celsius by moving it from a vertical mount to a horizontal mount. You'd need a case big enough that there's a significant gap between the card and the side of the case in order to negate that. It just adds too much resistance to the air flow with it right by the side of the case.
@TheRedRaven_
@TheRedRaven_ Жыл бұрын
@@BaneSIlvermoon Exactly, I actually had a vertical setup a few years back but switched and immediately saw better thermals. That cases mount also demanded the card sit right up on the glass, but yeah a vertical mount is fine as long as the case has good clearance.

I've rebuilt several laptops over the last 15 years i.e. swapping faulty screens, motherboards, upgrading cpus (this was before they started soldering them to the motherboard), ram, screen cables, screens, hard drives etc. Only problem I've found is the palm rest removal to be more difficult on new laptops due to cheaper plastics causing them to crack if not careful. Weirdly though, I always thought building a pc would be extremely difficult in comparison. The fact that you build different gaming computers for beginner/advanced builders/gamers and showing the different budgets for builds whilst getting the best results is fantastic. Well done, Sir. Every one is going to have their preference or opinion this case gives me the dynamics I'm going to need and that's going to be the room on the bottom for a radiator (280) and a (280) on the side and a nice thick (360) up top... it would be enough to cool a dirt bike... 😎 👌 😉

Great looking build, but with a rookie mistake bro to mount the AIO that way, the pump will trap air inside it instead of the radiator. Which will result in heat transfer issue and pump failure as the time goes. The AIO should be flipped up, the hoses should sit higher than the pump. Thank you!
@jaymata1218

not true, pump is lower than the top of the radiator.... and he installed the pump after the radiator, he's fine
@GlitchBomb
@GlitchBomb 2 жыл бұрын
@@jaymata1218 Air can't be trapped with the rad at that position cause no gap at the back it has tight channels which will push the air back on the hoses and then get it trapped in the pump. It doesn't matter what you install first as long as the hoses aren't at the bottom.

@@GlitchBomb So pump is lower than the radiator, hose runs down. Air rises, won't get stuck in the hose.

Can you vertically mount a 4090?
@shadowen9252
@shadowen9252 2 жыл бұрын
I built in this case and here's what I thought. 1) The top rad tray has the clearance to slide forward a couple inches but does not allow it to be mounted there with screws. The case is notched out to accept the tray in that position, but the tray doesn't line up with the existing screw holes when moved forward. I think 4 extra threaded holes would allow the rad hoses to come down into the case at the rear instead of how its only possible for them to come down in the front. 2) The HDD sleds take up a lot of space in the rear compartment where's there's not a ton of room. Also, the screws are offset, so you can only mount the sleds in one way. If you could flip them or even remove the tray from the rear blank(cover) that would give you a lot more room without leaving a large hole in the back of the case. 3) The bottom fans have the cord connected at the side (center between corners) of the fan instead of the corner like most fans. This means the case has a hole that lines up with the Hyte fans and not aftermarket. Also the screws for the bottom fan could be an extra 2mm in length. The popular Arctic P14 fans are a hair too thick to mount without aftermarket screws. 4) The cutout for the rear I/O plate on mine was a mm to large top to bottom. This lets you see in past the I/O shield. IDK how a snap in shield would fit. Also (visual only) I think the small opening above the vertical GPU screws on the rear of the case could use one of those little sliding panels to finish it off. Would just look a lot more professional. 5) This is a very ventilated case. Could be good for airflow if you mount your fans correctly. This case would also be a really good water cooling candidate. Being so open allows dust to build up inside much easier. In a custom loop build, there are less fans to move dust through the system. This case is also a bit noisier than other cases I've built in. The extra noise is likely due to it's open design. 6) The back compartment is pretty tight for cable routing. There isn't as much room as I expected. If you have multiple control modules for fans and or cable extensions, you'll be cramming stuff pretty hard.

I bought this case and had multiple issues with it. First and foremost, there is not enough space between the glass and a Gigabyte RTX 3070 TI or the Gigabyte 6750XT as i tried with both cards. The graphics card gets really hot, i have to keep the front glass off at all times. There's just not enough airflow as there is

i do have this case with a 2x120mm AIO in the same position blowing air out with 3x120mm fans going out the top and swapped the bottom fans for 2 BioniX F140 fans. runs pretty quiet! dont often hear the fans at all! though this case has been mentioned to be more optimized for water cooling/custom loops, it seems to work fairly well with an AIO too. my future build for this pc would either include a full custom loop or a 3x120mm AIO on top for the cpu and a gpu with a built in 2x120mm AIO for the side, but again the airflow for this case seems to give quite a bit of flexibility great vid tho! glad you didnt break the tempered glass all over your desk 😱

I love cases that have a window in the front, like this and the 011D from Lian Li. I wish they had just done a black fan in the back though. Weird corner to paint to buyer into instead of keeping it all red/black. Also a quick suggestion, you should get a soft lighting box, or maybe try raising your ring light higher. The glare off the case was a bit distracting.

I notice a lot of pc cases are designed to be on the right of you to enjoy the view. My setup my pc has to be on the left of me. An that means my wire ports would all be facing away and furthest from my monitors from me if I want to see inside my case...its that or I have to enjoy the back of my case and have the glass facing a wall.

Looks like an 011 Dynamic converted into an Aquarium. Interesting features. No clue about Air flow as from the fans direction this is a Dust magnet negative pressure build. Vertical GPU does not hide the mess easily seen from the front window which really has no fix when using that Gpu mount. All that empty space looks good but sacrifices room in the back for easier less Stressed cable managment, this design will crimp and smash all those cables, those familiar with Electromagnetic properties will shy from this case for just that reason. I do like it, it seems more spacious than the Dynamic but definitely must go GPU MB mount for this case to work (Cable wise), and definitely put the rad at the top if you are still using nonsense like water in your PC's.

One thing that I ran into with my build using the Z690-A Prime is apparently some mobo manufacturers have put settings in that make it really difficult to install Windows 11 by making it to where the mobo wouldn't recognize any NVMe SSDs. Quick trip to people that know more about those settings than me fixed it within a day but they said it was really annoying. Just a warning for anyone using the new Z690 boards.
