I love this case. Got the Hakos Baelz edition and it's beautiful. Keep in mind that this case has limited expansion options as the rest of the mounting for any PCIe cards are exclusively low-profile mounting only. So if you have a capture card or any other kind of PCIe card you want to install, you better pick one that can be installed in a low-profile slot. I wish Hyte had at least left some sort of option to install an additional full sized card. Even if it was additional vertical mounts with riser.

I call it the aquarium case. Not in a derogatory way. I think its great they are finally making cases look different. Its just that it looks like an aquarium to me. I wonder if someone will make it into one as they did the old Apple iMac from the 1990s. The PSU cables are why I got and love my old Corsair modular PSU. Dont have to have a big wad coming out of the PSU. Mine must be 10 years old or more now. I still remember the red and yellow bundle on old PSUs. Also remember when all PC cases were beige lol. Black ones were so odd and new but welcomed. I still love seeing a PC build video. Im not as into it as I was when I was younger but still love them. Before I had a PC and before the net I would read magazine articles and them. Then the net brought videos and such. Love my hobby.

I am building my 1st PC in over 20 years. We used floppy discs and IDE cables, the last time I built one. What would be REALLY helpful to us old timers and I am certain to those looking to do their 1st build, a walk through of cables and what goes where on a motherboard. The fact that they may need a Fan splitter for ex. The MB I bought, has 1 CPU Fan header, but the cooler has 2 CPU fans, so I sent for a splitter from Amazon. It gets here Wed. (DeepCool AK 620) There are 3 cables coming from the front panel of the case, I am not able to identify, so I do not know where they should be plugged in. (BeQuiet PureBase 500DX. I am fairly certain where one goes simply by the uniqueness of its end connector, though what it is for...I have no idea) Fans? OMG. The last PC I built, had 2 fans, 1 of which was contained within the power supply. The other of course, was on the CPU. USB headers? My MB has either 3 or 4 different types of USB connectors, each of which (I assume), must be plugged into the corresponding USB header on the MB. Which is which????????? (NZXT N7 B550 FTR) A purely..."here's the basics" kind of detailed, 30 minute walkthrough...would be HUGELY helpful to neophytes and returning builders like myself. For ex your 2 yr old video about what to do before you build, in bench testing components? WOW was that spot on helpful. And your what to do after you build video re drivers, XMP, etc etc? Yep. Just what the doctor ordered. Equally true for your "how to build a system monitor" using the raspberry pi monitor devices...brilliant, concise, and follow these steps to success simple. Happy holidays to you, your crew and all of your families! You put out some great stuff folks. Keep it up. You ARE very much appreciated!!!

What a coincidence, my last build was before Dell bought Alienware, probably even before Y2K was to end us all... Working on rebuilding a circa 2006 Alienware with an i5-13600, 3060ti and 32GB of DDR5 on a Z790 MB, little by little it's certainly all coming back but there are without doubt things I am having to stop and reread to make sure I'm not pooching it (and the PS modular cables are certainly among the top, RGB and Fan controls a close second!). All good ideas, a quick and dirty break down comparing building now versus when you started Jay would probably land square in the target zone for us "Grump Old Dudes" ;)

@@PitboyHarmony1 I have been watching videos for 5 weeks. LTT GN, Jayz, Braethorn, et al. I have yet to find one video that covers the basics to the degree I am referring. They will all say...connect your fan leads to the fan headers....which fan headers? Connect your USB leads to your USB headers....which is a USB 2.0, 3.0, 3,1; or does it matter, and if it doesnt, someone please say as much. Also, and this is a YT failing, it is very difficult to search thru older videos looking for something specific. MOST of the helpful videos I find, show up by accident on the right as suggested videos, relative to what I am watching and searching for.

@@davidbates2161 As an example, the different USB types. Google "Different USB Types", and you get hits like "What are the 4 different USB types?" (article dtd Nov 2018), followed by "What are the 5 different USB types?"(undated Samsung article), immediately followed by "What are the 6 different USB Types?" (article dtd Jan 2018). They can not all be factually accurate, and in fact the oldest of the 3 indicates the most different types. What plugs into where on the MB and god forbid what happens if I plug a Type "X" into a Type "Y" header? The case, comes with 3x140mm fans. I moved the front fan to the top and installed 3 Lian Li ST-120s to the front. The Lian Li kit has a Fan bus, but not an ARGB bus, and the Lian Li fans are ARGB as is the front of the case. So after getting ready to install the MB in the case but 1st reviewing what cables need to connect where; I ordered an ARGB bus which should get here tomorrow. I do however have, 2 or 3 cables from the front panel, I simply have no clue where to connect to the MB. 1 as I said, has a unique looking connector which really only matches 1 spot on the MB, so process of elimination tells me that is for the USB3G2C_1 header. Now WHICH USB connector on the front panel that is? pffft, I have absolutely no earthly idea.

I've just got the red version of this case. I live in the UK and I've only ever seen it on general sale once, for about a day, and I regretted not clicking the buy button when I saw it that day, it actually took me 5 months after that day to get my hands on a new Y60 and I had to resort to eBay to get a KZbinr review sample. So sad. I previously had the Lian Li O11 Dynamic and while I have so much appreciation for that case, the Hyte Y60 is on another level. Having a gen 4 vertical GPU riser, the hidden basement with fans, a bracket for your AIO in the roof, and even the extra 120mm fan spot on the back are huge improvements, and the whole aesthetic of the case makes it look so much cleaner than the O11. I had doubts when I was dismantling my old setup, that I was making a mistake, but everytime I look at my system now (aside from it being dust free again) I smile at how fantastic it looks.

My white Corsair 5000T case came with the Commander Core XT controller pre-installed in it and Corsair has set it up to be able to run mix-and-match models of fans as long as they're Corsair fans (obviously). The case came with three white LL120's pre-mounted on the front for intake but nothing else in the back or top for exhaust. So before I bought more white LL120's while they were on sale I ran three of my previous HD120's on the top for exhaust and the Commander Core XT splits them up 50/50 with their own settings menu. The HD120's are still lovely fans with nice lighting and the crystal clear chassis but the LL120's are definitely a step above with the more complex lighting they can do. :)

I built my first ever computer in this case a week ago, let me tell you everything that could go wrong went wrong EXCEPT all that had to do with the case. The routing of the cables, installing the ssd, getting the motherboard secure, all that went by without a sweat. If you're a first time builder, I'd recommend this case! Easy to use and very spacious.

I moved from an o11 to a y60 earlier this year, using water cooling. It's really nice to work in, the top being completely removable is wonderful for attaching rads and being able to drop them in afterwards.

I built in this case. White with clear glass. Long Corsair 1000w psu. Gigabyte Aorus Master z690 board. Intel i9 12900k. MSI 3080 card. Nzxt aio. White T-Force Delta ddr5 6000 ram. 2 - 2tb Samsung m.2 ssd's. All Corsair individually sleeved white cables. Rgb fans with everything glowing white. I saw this case and fell in love. I bought it before ever seeing a video review lol. It is truly unique and gets a lot of attention. If Hyte could also offer a flipped version so we could build to have it on our right side (which this one is) or on or left side. That would be amazing.

I wanted to point out that jay said the SP fans don’t work with the h115i, they actually do, the commander core that the cooler comes with is able to mix fans and recognise different Corsair rgb fans (the new commander core XT can also do this) so you can have let’s say the two included ML rgb fans on the cpu radiator and the SP fans on the case on the h115i’s controller and icue will let you mix them and control them all with just one controller so you don’t need to use the included controller that the SP fan pack gives you

I've had the same configuration for quite a while now and I was a little confused with what Jay was saying. My H115i controller is running my SP120's (they are the Pro version though?). I noticed Jay linked to the Elites so maybe those don't? *shrugs*

Doing this properly may take some modification. The AIO on my 6900XT Toxic uses proprietary 6-pin fan connections to the GPU board. Of course GPU AIO fans can be replaced with any fan and connected to motherboard fan headers for control and whatever ARGB connection and controller type that comes with said fans, but how would a GPU react if it does not see the AIO fan connection? If daisy chained with the GPU memory/VRM fan simply unplugging may not be noticed by the GPU. There are always work arounds if the above issues are encountered.

Jay Thank You for a great video! I have built my own version with the Y60 case - wow what a great case to build in. My config - i9 13900K, MSI RTX-4090 Suprim, Corsair H100i, replaced the case fans Corsair SP120 RGB, and T-Force 64 GB for memory, and the MB Asus Proart Z790 Creator and used a Samsung 990 NvME. Also, I went with the new side Shift Corsair RM1200 PWS. Love the build. Have for monitors an ACER Prediator 4K and Apple Studio Display - what a super combination. Thought I would share - keep up the great videos!! 🙂
