Glacier Bay National Park is a Winter Wonderland - Having the BEST Day Ever on an Alaskan Cruise!!

(Part Five) In today's video we visit Glacier Bay National Park which is one of the main reasons why you take an Alaskan cruise to get to experience this beauty in person. I mean this place in the world is a true winter wonderland! We got to see so many humpback whales, otters, mountain goats and so many glaciers like Margerie glacier. After that, I show you more of the beautiful Norwegian Encore including dining options, shows, entertainment and lounges. On the Jewel 29/4 to 6/5. Best cruise ever. Sunny, whales, great excursions etc. did not have a balcony. But due to the sun, didn’t need one.

My husband and I were in the NCL Alaska cruise last week! We were blown away by Glacier Bay! It was sunny and about 40 degrees. Just Beautiful! We love the Encore!!! Our plan is to do more sailing with NCL. 15:38

So glad you finally saw Glacier Bay. I went before kids on Holland. We were on Quantum last summer a few weeks after you went with 3 generations. It was super disappointing on their one glacier day at Endicott Arm after our national park rangers experience on HAL. So glad to see it was similar on NCL. I plan to bring the kids back to see Glacier Bay when they are older and NCL would be on the top of our list right now. The food sounds amazing. Unless Disney goes there in the future and the costs make sense.

glad you guys got to go to glacier bay. when my family and i were on the norwegian bliss back in june of 2023, we were supposed to go to glacier bay, but we were told by the captain that the water was way too frozen for the ship to head that way. so we ended up turning around and headed to victoria, B.C. in canada. i enjoyed watching this video. hopefully in the future we'll try to do another alaska trip and hopefully see some glaciers before they melt completely.

People are cheering when they see glacier fall into the ocean but it's actually very sad. Still amazing that you got to come this close to the glaciers. Every time I go on an Alaskan cruise, we can never get close because there's too much ice in the water. The only exception is when we were on the Disney Wonder, and they plowed straight through it. Haha!

Three Years ago I went to Alaska for the first time in summer, landed at like 1 am due to flight delays (it was still light outside) and then seeing snow covered mountains on my drive from the airport hotel to my Airbnb and just saying "Welp. That's majestic." And it was your first time ever seeing snow??? That's AMAZING! Native Floridian here but went to college in Michigan and Upstate NY so I LOVED hearing that 🤩Love this series!!!!

I guess you're correct, probably does look better than what the camera is showing but you can have the snow, I'll go just for the wildlife.. I have NEVER wanted to go on an Alaska cruise……however, so many people have said how beautiful the experience was…..i have been planning on putting it on my bucket list ! And now i have one scheduled this July!!! This will be the cruise of a lifetime on Silver Seas…..I cannot wait! I live in miami & I HATE the cold…..but i wanna do this! I’m originally from nashville, & i should know how cold is….but i have been in Florida over 25yrs…. I so look forward to this….thank you for the wonderful videos….. your unbiased videos are great! We're booked for October 2025 for just that reason. Unfortunately we'll miss the midnight sun and I know it will be colder, but the kids will be back in school by then and everyone should be back to their winter schedules. My husband booked us an ocean view. I'd rather have a balcony, but he's worried that it might get too cold, and this early he hopes we might get a visit from the upsell fairy.
