You dont necessarily need a motherboard that supports argb but you do need something thats argb to power and control it. Alot of cases nowdays are argb, like my phanteks evolv x is argb and i can plug the fans and everything into that and control it through my case controls. :)

so i feel the need to point out something specific about your testing method. the msi magcoreliquid cooler has the pump inside the radiator and in the installation guide it specifically recommends that you have it at the lower point(tubes down) as well as you should honestly be doing tubes down for any and all radiators for air reasons. just info for future videos.
@PCGoblin

The tubes arent very long so it limits this position itsself. However I have installed and used many many AIO's and I havent found any difference in positions. :)

@@PCGoblin im sure you have and im not a pro with a youtube channel specifically. but i work with liquid chemical flow systems and theres alot of physics involved. and there generally is a reason for something to be designed the way it is. so i have a horizontal build using a Lian Li 011D case layed on its metalic side with rubber feet. i chose the MSI cooler because the pump would be lower in my configuration as a result. and because the heat spreads out it was more practical for me all around. otherwise my pump in a headblock would be the highest point in my build which can overtime hurt a pump because of the air. but with the pump in the radiator it ensures that its fully submerged 100% of the time so even if air gets in the tubes it will be forced through by the pump. i have a i7 5820k overclocked to 4.0ghz and have a constant 47-50c on my cpu without much issue. im just saying that orientation does have an effect. gamers nexus proved it when they did a plexiglass cover on the pump headblock. this was still informative in other ways, im just pointing out something to consider in the future.

i'm kind of torn atm thinking about getting the msi 360 but replacing the fans with the fans i currently have (corsair 120mm pro) but i'm also about to upgrade from a asrock b450 with a ryzen 2600x to a msi b550 gaming edge mobo with the zen 3 ryzen 8+ core preferably a 10-12 core (if they'll hurry up and release it) i don't really OC my components but i want everything to run as cool as possible plus i think it'll look good in my case

I think youd be pretty happy with the configuration and were getting close to the AMD announcement so im guessing that will be zen3. :) Why upgrade from a 450 to 550?

@@PCGoblin I cheaped out on my b450 and have been having issues with it in the last few months so figured that I would spend the money this time on a good motherboard with good vrms that will hold a steady voltage instead of bouncing around like a kid eating sugar

@@PCGoblin otherwise I wouldn't be worrying about it. It had been over 10 years since I built a pc and I didn't realize just how much power phases and vrms mattered my last build was a 4+2 and my current is 4+2 which is causing my cpu to throttle due to the vrm getting hot but that is to be expected with a cheap mobo lol

David Pugh oh yeah, definitely get what you pay for or at least to a degree. :) Im hoping they get zen 3 out for us soon.

what is the sofware to change the color for the msi one?
@PCGoblin
@PCGoblin 3 жыл бұрын
It depends on what hardware you have but if you have an msi motherboard then you can use “Mystic light” to control. If you dont, then you have to use whatever software is available for whatever you have it plugged into.

I really want the x72 but the ek have more good temp help me. For a 10900k 5.2 ghz
@PCGoblin
@PCGoblin 3 жыл бұрын
Id choose the 360 ek for that. My sister is running a 9900k with a x73 and it handles it fine, it has pretty no headroom for overclocking. But im not sure thered be much with any AIO. :) So id say get the one you think looks best.

how does this match up to a noctua ? im scared of technical difficulties with these

Thats an understandable concern. From my understanding the Noctua NH-U12A. Is similar in perf to AIO's.

Bad testing for aio! Never ever put tubes on top by the radior and never never ever put the cooling block higher then the radior!!! U got allot of air in it and it works no more or very bad!!

Its no different than if it was on the front of a PC case which is also how the manufacturer says it can go so im going to go by what they said. But thanks for the input.

PCGoblin from what I’ve heard I think it might be because of the heat spreader being different some coolers will perform better on an I9 than a Ryzen 9 Like a cooler that’s good on a Rison will be all performed by the different cooler on an Intel
@PCGoblin
@PCGoblin 4 жыл бұрын
@@temptemp1192 Intel generally performs worse no matter on their mainstream chips because up until the latest series, they havent cared much. Ive had to delid my intel chips to get them to cool correctly. Like my 7700k when it was under a full custom loop with an EK waterblock I had issues cooling it running it overclocked to 4.9ghz. After delidding it I was able to cool it at 5.1ghz with a kraken x73
