so i feel the need to point out something specific about your testing method. the msi magcoreliquid cooler has the pump inside the radiator and in the installation guide it specifically recommends that you have it at the lower point(tubes down) as well as you should honestly be doing tubes down for any and all radiators for air reasons. just info for future videos.
@PCGoblin3 жыл бұрын
The tubes arent very long so it limits this position itsself. However I have installed and used many many AIO's and I havent found any difference in positions. :)
@darkdragon11423 жыл бұрын
@@PCGoblin im sure you have and im not a pro with a youtube channel specifically. but i work with liquid chemical flow systems and theres alot of physics involved. and there generally is a reason for something to be designed the way it is. so i have a horizontal build using a Lian Li 011D case layed on its metalic side with rubber feet. i chose the MSI cooler because the pump would be lower in my configuration as a result. and because the heat spreads out it was more practical for me all around. otherwise my pump in a headblock would be the highest point in my build which can overtime hurt a pump because of the air. but with the pump in the radiator it ensures that its fully submerged 100% of the time so even if air gets in the tubes it will be forced through by the pump. i have a i7 5820k overclocked to 4.0ghz and have a constant 47-50c on my cpu without much issue. im just saying that orientation does have an effect. gamers nexus proved it when they did a plexiglass cover on the pump headblock. this was still informative in other ways, im just pointing out something to consider in the future.

@@temptemp1192 Intel generally performs worse no matter on their mainstream chips because up until the latest series, they havent cared much. Ive had to delid my intel chips to get them to cool correctly. Like my 7700k when it was under a full custom loop with an EK waterblock I had issues cooling it running it overclocked to 4.9ghz. After delidding it I was able to cool it at 5.1ghz with a kraken x73
