Well, i was one of the unlucky 360 buyers here in Chile during january. Left it for 3 weeks in vacation and after that (may), well we all know how it ended. I want to share this because this can help people for future experiences with MSI. The tricky thing is that i couldn't make effective the guarantee with MSI because my product wasn't registered on their website (i added it, but not registered which is really nitpicky for common users who aren't familiar with this kind of practise). They say i should ask for "repairment" in the distributor where i bought it. The thing is MSI doesn't exists in Chile, so that doesn't apply, but in this case the distributor told me that RMA was full of requests from other people. By the way, my product wasn't on the damaged series they mentioned in their statement (checked with the serial number). At the end, the distributor took the bullet and made the refund. I hope this helps anyone :)

I fixed mine by opening the same spot you did, taking out the metal plate. Draning all the liquid down(it was full of sediments) and then proceeded to fill it with vinegar while moving the radiator so bubbles come out about 3 times. For each time you fill it, wait about 5 minutes for the vinegar to act. Then flush it many times with distilled water, and when you feel all the vinegar and sediments are gone, fill it carefully with distilled water while moving the radiator a lot, shake it so bubbles come out. Once you feel it's completely full and don't hear almost any water sound that can spot spaces left with air when you move your radiator, close it and install it on your computer. Make it work for 5 to 6 hours, don't run stress tests. When those hours have already passed, you can try metrics and stress tests to figure out if you are going to need another fill.

They had a recall on these but they ended it in Feb. 2024, I purchased mine from Amazon on 2/28/2021 and it barely lasted 3 yrs and now it's overheating. I found they had a recall on these units but I chatted with them this morning and they ended the recall in Feb. 2024. I know mine wasn't under warranty but I was at least hoping they would still honor the recall but didn't know they had a cutoff date. I had already purchased the V2 which is comming tomorrow but honestly had I known they were't going to honor it I would've just went back to a Noctua air cooler and the fans are way easier and cheaper to replace. I had to order something because my Ryzen 9 3900xt was running 95c so I've had to configure the power options in Windows to force it to run at the lowest speed and it's currently at 50c. I may decide to clean it all out since I'm stuck with it, I can't really help it that mine decided to last a bit longer than what their cutoff date was. Needless to say I am not a happy camper.

@@stefantanket8735 Mine runs 24/7 due to mining with a 3900xt. I have made a change on my Ryzen systems which was reducing the max and min cpu usage in Windows power settings, I lowered both down to 99%, these are headless units that do not have a monitor attached so accessing the bios is not readily available. Basically when I was running at 100% it was operating at the turbo clock speed and by lowering the limit it effectively reduced the watts by a ton and the temps are now easily managed. I suffered some losses on the hashrate but I feel it was well worth it in the longrun. I found Noctua makes a cooler for a 4u server case which is the size that this system is being used in. I've also been in the process of replacing these power hungry CPUs for ones that use less watts. I have another system what is basically a shoebox size case from Thermaltake with a 3600x that also runs hot, I replaced the fan on a Noctua low profile cooler that came with a slim 15mm which did help some but the power reduction saved that one until I can transfer it over into a larger case with better airflow, I may even swap it for another 5700x since they run so much cooler.

16:34 Alvin and the Chipmunks did In Bloom justice. Picked up a V2 of this AIO new today. Really just wanted a 360 radiator that was quick and available locally to replace the radiator portion of my Coolermaster ML 240R that can still allow me to use Master+ software and CM's RGB/ARGB controller that has a Mirage function with RGB, not ARGB, fans. If the temps are worse than my 240 from the factory it will be an instant return but if they're the same or better I'll keep it as it should fit in my new 011 Evo case better with longer tubes to clear my GPU. Thanks for the tear down and commentary. I would have followed the same process but maybe flushed it in reverse with water pressure using tap water for some minutes.

Just had to take mine apart. Wasn’t even 6 months old. Clogged up big time. Idle temps at 65* and with a game title open in the menu was at 91*. Flushed it out, idle temps around 35* and full load at 70*. Initially pulled it out to clean the dust off the fins, shook it around to try and hear the fluid which is must have moved the sediment inside to complete clog the pump. Reinstalled, would reach 100* and shut the cpu down numerous times and at that point decided to take it apart.

When watercooling a PC was being experimented with, around 1998, people were using automotive heater cores, whatever the cheapest thing was at Advanced Auto or Autozone at the time, and some plumbing parts from Home Depot! Some people tried using fuel pumps to move water around. That went well 🤣🤣

Im 50 degrees Celsius at idle on my brand new i9- 12900k DDR5 build. Paid $98 for this pump. Yikes. What a shame to produce a potential danger to your cpu. Did you exhaust the radiator or pull air in? I have 3 front fans pull, one pushing out the back and this installed at the top w/ 3 fans blowing through the radiator out the top of my case. Due to the color of the gunk... that looks like the same corrosion that a hot water tank will see if it is installed without dielectric unions. When two different metals come in contact with each other, an electrolytic reaction begins, where water serves as the electrolyte. As a result the metals start to corrode. I would have done 70% Antifreeze, 30% soft water or at least a 50/50 mix. Whatever you did will be an improvement over what was in there. Thank you for this video. Keep us updated if this kept it cool or how long till the next "radiator flush". Glad it actually does allow for self service and not a 3 yr use than toss in the garbage.
