I love these older proof sets. I would be so excited to own that set! Very, very nice.

Thank you! I love old proof sets. The coins are so well struck and proofs do such a great job showing off the design of the coin. I just stumbled upon this one. If you look hard enough you can definitely find one.

Love old proofs sets like this. Really beautiful coins. Nice to have a family connection too. My dream set would be a 1937 with the Buffalo Nickel.

Thank you! Yes, I would love to complete the 1937 proof set. I have the nickel but I might try to finish it.

Hi Jadon. I love that set. You got a great deal. I just completed my 1942 set. I am now working on a 41 set. You have inspired me to go for the 40 set. Yours is killer. Congratulations.

Thank you! That’s awesome that you completed the 1942 proof set. That set is unique because it has the silver war nickel and regular nickel! I love the older proof sets with the walking liberty half dollars, mercury dimes and even Buffalo nickels. I would love to complete the 1937 proof set but that one is pretty expensive. I hope you are able to complete the 1941 proof set and the 1940 proof set.

@@jadonnoble5621 I completed a 55 birth year set first, and then I completed the 37 set. The Buffalo proof was my very first proof-type coin. It will always be a fav. I have the 36 matte Buffalo, but that set is crazy expensive. It has two nickels also. One matte and one brilliant. All 36 coins are crazy money. That set will probably have to wait for me to win the lottery. I need the 50, 51, and 52 Franklins in cameo to complete the Franklin set in cameo. That is probably my next goal.

@@donaldinnewmexico that’s awesome man! I actually bought a 55 proof set. I have an unboxing video of it. I love that set! I also have the 37 proof Buffalo nickel. I have an unboxing video of that coin but I don’t have the full set. The 36 set is extremely expensive. I probably won’t ever try to get that set. That’s awesome that you are trying to get a 1950-1952 cameo proof set. Those are hard to get! You really can’t beat older proof coins. They don’t make them how they used to that’s for sure!

@@jadonnoble5621 I have the rest of the Franklin set in cameo. I just need the first three to complete it. The rest of the 37 set isn't too bad. The nickel is the most expensive. The Walker is not too bad. The others are affordable. Good luck.

Congrats. Those are sweet looking. By cert number, it looks like the Merc and Walker came from the same set...or at least grades at the same time.
@jadonnoble56219 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes, I noticed that some of the cert numbers were in order. Someone did a great job of putting this set together. The coins were all well preserved and had no haziness:)

Real pretty half ! Seems a 65 is a conservative grade . Maybe dipped ?
@jadonnoble56219 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes! They might have thought it was dipped. This being said, between 65 and 66 there is very little difference in price, about $50 so it’s not a big deal. Ms 67 is when the price starts to increase more.
