My favourites were the 1950 Franklin Half and that beautiful MS64 Morgan Dollar. Its an O mint mark too, so that grade goes even further, considering the notorious sloppy workmanship from that wayward mint. The biggest disappointment was the harshly cleaned (ruined) older penny. I was kind of surprised that was even slabbed. The nickel came back in a "bodybag" because its date was worn off, and it had a great big hole in the back. I really enjoy these grading videos: the beauty and variety of coins out there. And the Epic Fails and lessons learnt. Look at the coin: not the holder.

Companies ebb and flow. I get better prices from dealers for PCGS coins than NGC, every time. If i bring an NGC coin to them, the content always is, I'd buy this if it was in a PCGS holder.

I've seen NGC grading on coins and I think they are giving slightly higher grades to coins that don't deserve them. People are happy with it because it increases the value of the coin but if that isn't the case and a coin is a 64+ instead of the 65 they give it, it only harms the customer. It would be interesting to see the number of PCGS CAC coins compared to the number of NGC CAC coins.

Daaaamn son! Hahaha I was spot on on the grade of that 1884-O. Do I win a prize for being the only person to comment on your other video about the grade and for getting it right?! Lol 😉 I thought it would grade in at a 64 because the amount of scratches though they were light along with the light bag marks on the cheek. I just got lucky 🍀 that’s all. Lol I thought maybe 65 but knew since you were sending it in to PCGS it seems they’re just a little bit harder on grading (amount of scratches, bag marks) vs NGC and that is why I went more with a 64 vs 65. Awesome collection of coins and great video. Always enjoy you stream!

Regarding the half dollar VF-20 image that coin being a Morgan dollar? it would be a pretty low grade Morgan right? the grades should be similar across the board. VF-20 sounds right to me.

The difference between MS 64 - MS 65 is difficult to judge as its varies based off of the individual. In your opinion what's the difference between an MS-64 or MS-65 ? One hairline? two?

with Barbers the wreath has to be really well defined and the eagle's wing tips have to have perfectly defined feathers to get to AU

That V nickel is graded correctly ...body bag , no date , divet = no grade . Most of the coins look to be the right grade , the franklin is real nice . Some folks over estimate grades because they have an attachment, Key dates should be graded even if they're not MS , some Morgans a VF can be worth grading ,people have different criteria such as retail value more than $300-500

The tone on your older penny is from improper cleaning and not desired at all from most advanced coin collectors. Your nickel did not get a grade because it is damaged on reverse. I totally agree with all the grades from PCGS. The RB grade is correct on your newer penny I get a lot of pennies graded even had a few MS-68's but you can not have any dark colors or toning for pennies MS-66 and above. For the last 5 or 6 years I have been making a living off of grading my coins and selling them every month to pay all my bills and I live in northern California so bills are extreme. Prices are going down right now up to 50% even for top pop coins for pennies so be careful using comparative prices always use prices that are under 3 months old.
