Gold is gold. As long as it's authentic, the price you'll get when selling 1g of gold from any brand will be the same.

Im a pretty new stacker. I do like GB and do purchase regularly but I stack traditional too. I think a big point being missed is how many coins gold and sliver are counterfeit. GB have never been counter fitted it gives GB a little extra piece of mind imo. and trading with coins can be tricky. your going to be trading with everyday people grocery stores, farmers markets small mom and pop. most people wont just take a coin and believe you on its weight. and I dont know a whole lot of people that carry around precision scales. not to mention the market price because thats where the value is is over spot. its 5.21 right now for a GB the gold in it is worth around 2.50. but the market value is 5.41 unless im missing something I dont see where a loss is coming from. unless of course you melt it down and noone is going to trust a small bead of gold. you make a lot of valid points and I think everyone needs to make decisions that best support their goals. Great video man. Thank you.

I need some help. I'm trying to source foam inserts to fit my 1/10 oz silver britannias (16.5mm), but they also have to fit a 39mm capsule. I've got some, but they're those adjustable inserts that don't work well because I've had to force the coins to fit. Hopefully my hunt ends here. Cheers.

Probably because you wouldn't put high value gold coins in a vending machine, so they didn't scrape up in a big pile like silver ones did. Gold was used for more expensive items.

Coins, specifically Gold American Eagles. I just helped a relative sell a collection that included American Eagles and bars similar to the PAMP you show. The Eagles all paid a premium over the bars. They held Silver and Gold, for about the same 20-ish year period of time. The Silver had a roughly 80% return, but the gold had a 1000% return. It also took nearly 100 pounds of Silver to equal just a few pounds of Gold in terms of value. That makes the silver a liability in my mind. My relative asked for my help because they couldn't even lift the boxes of Silver, just too heavy. What I learned from the experience is that if I ever buy precious metals, it will be Gold American Eagles.

Eagles, maples, generic 1 ounce bars, generic 10 ounce bars, constitutional. These are the primary forms of silver.

Goldbucks are way too expensive and makes ZERO sense to buy them. A 25GB is worth today (11/16/24) about $65. But it costs $147 on money metals plus shipping and tax totaling $161. How the hell does it make sense to buy an instrument of payment that buys only $65 worth of goods but pay $161 for the GB? Goldbacks are a SCAM!

The silver at spot deals are back for many sites. I just started stacking got my first at spot deal plus some constitutional from SD. I'm waiting for my second at spot deal again with some constitutional added from monument. I'll be looking at a few more in the over the next several months as my stacking budget is replenished. I hope they don't do away with them before I have a chance to take advantage of them. While the temptation to abuse the offers by creating multiple accounts is there that's one of the reasons they went away in the first place.

Pretty much every stacker commenting in every single one of these stacking videos has huge concerns over privacy issues. Pay in cash, sell for cash, small amounts, etc.etc. what they don't know they don't know I don't understand the concern over SD bullion not divulging the name of the winner of their monster boxes. Think about it, if you did win it would you want SD bullion plastering your name all over the internet that you just won 500 oz of silver. As far as I know it doesn't cost you anything to enter the giveaway. You don't get more entries by spending more money so even if SD bullion does make a few more sales because of the giveaway you're not out anything either way. I guess if you had a choice of $5,000 to spend with one company versus SD bullion and you decided to go with SD because of the monster box giveaway you might have a legitimate argument but even so I highly doubt, with most stackers mentality of getting the most for your buck you're going to spend more money with SD if their prices are higher. You're going to go on to their website sign up for the giveaway and spend your $5,000 at the cheapest site.

Question #2: I have the impression that the price of gold changes more frequently (ie, is more up to date) on Yahoo Finance than on the KITCO site. So maybe better to compare APMEX spot price to Yahoo Finance?

Great video. Question #1: If APMEX reports the highest spot price, does that mean they will pay you more when you sell your gold (assuming they buy at spot)?

That’s why I’ve always said that if poor White’s knew that the Government uses ALL of us to finance the wealth of a few, and they don’t give a damn about them EITHER, the trailer parks across America would have rural January 6’s nationwide. The only way that this country can exist is poor White’s to think that because of their race that they are better than others, and that they are MORE American (see Dumble Trump). The taxation scam is the great equalizer. That’s why I shake my head at racism (self hatred). All the while money is being sucked out of his overall’s and the other guys designer jeans (that he can’t afford) all at the same time. I just spoke TRUTH, deal with it!

Good Review! I went to my local gold dealer and he said he would not buy them at any price as he cannot sell them to the smelter. If you cannot buy gold with a gold back then it must not be "worth its weight in gold". Besides you are paying roughly 4 times the price of gold. Buy fractional gold or silver by the ounce. I own 4 - 1$ gold backs for collecting purposes as well as some silver and some gold.

_I was able to get more money from a gold buffalo then I was able to get from a gold eagle. I was able to get $50 of a spot for a buffalo. Not to mention gold buffaloes can’t be fat with exact replica. You can tell a fake gold buffalo is not authentic from 3 feet away. Literally._

I found this channel as i was looking to buy various forms of precious metals. I feel like a lot of the naysayers are speaking about using vs not using GB in polite, normal society. Would the naysayers feel differently in a SHTF scenario? What if the dollar were to completely collapse? Or, what if we were buying person to person...?

More than half of the value is the utility, I've been doing my research. The premium is obvious. Has anyone ever SPENT gold in any other form? It happens but its rare. Only other time ive ever even bartered in silver was combibars(closest thing to a goldback but that was 10 years ago). I've spent goldbacks in Colorado at an even higher premium. The value is the cash form, easy to spend and trade. Edit : I do get everything said in this video and appreciate where he's coming from. I have family in Utah where they're big and actually usable.
