The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) in partnership with the Scottish Government, hosted a webinar on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This video is a full recording, with BSL/English interpreters and subtitles.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that affects how your ovaries work. During ovulation, an egg is released once a month. PCOS can have an impact on this and cause irregular ovulation, or no ovulation at all. PCOS can have an effect on fertility, metabolism, hair growth and your menstrual cycle
This webinar offers the opportunity to learn more about PCOS through busting some common myths about the condition.
The recording features presentations from Professor Colin Duncan from the University of Edinburgh, and Professor Anna Glasier, Women's Health Champion.
This video was produced by the ALLIANCE in support of the Scottish Government's Women's Health Plan. This video is part of our ALLIANCE Live series, Women's Health at the Centre.
