This is only the third gun of this type that have seen. Very interesting concept. Thanks for posting.

I was picturing this exact same design, and thot pressured shells would be great. Funny how almost everything exists now. I'm going to look this up in canada, cheers.

Ah, it's the old Saxby Palmer/Brocock system, I had a couple twenty odd years ago before becoming FAC only in the UK.

Ooh, Saxby Palmer was not a name I was familiar with, thanks for more keywords to search for!

You can't hold one on a FAC, when they were banned you could get a licence to keep it but no more were to be sold nor could you sell it, i had a Navy Colt sheriff, it was a beautiful revolver and foolishly i handed it into the police, the only difference between these and the real revolver were the barrel bore, all it took to mod was run a 9mm drill down the barrel and you had a fully functioning .38 revolver.

I have both pistols of the type you have. The Brocock I own is like yours only it has a case coloured frame made by weihrauch and is of excellent quality.May I suggest that you get the stirrup pump as it only needs one pump per cartridge.Twenty years ago I had a catalogue of all the models available before they were banned here in the u.k. Mine is legally owned but it would have been nice to have more in my collection.

I would have loved one of the older models, but yeah, sadly all gone due to some miscreants. The shells are fun and open up a range of different possibilities, but oh well. I didn't know they made a stirrup pump adapter, I couldn't find one in my local searches, but I see there's one I can get from the UK, so thank you for that! Now to just face the crazy import tax...

Fantastic piece to have in a collection, I'm in the UK so it's a no go for me, which country are you in? Is that an SA accent? I have a thirty meter indoor range (basically from my patio door all across my living room/building area and into an old disused post office that is part of the property) but still have neighbours on that side of the house, hence the wall adjoined to them in the old post office is absolutely stacked with storage boxes and bags filled with unrecyclable sound absorbing stuff like bubble wrap, polystyrene foam, duvets..you name it lol! I have an 8" silver single action CO2 pellet shooter with 'ivory' grips, lovely gun.

Yup, South African now living in Sweden, good ear! I'm in a cruddy apartment, I have 12m from front door, through a hallway, to the back window. Just enough space for a 10m "range". On Saturdays the feral kids next door get unleashed, and there's no way anyone can hear me shooting over that noise, but yeah, there's a reason I'm so obsessed about how quiet a gun can be. And yeah, it's not "hoarding", it's "soundproofing"! That's my excuse, anyway. I've been messing around with resins and mother of pearl pigments for them, I really want to make some decent revolver grips.

@@MyAirgunPhase try EasyFlo 60 it's a polymer based resin so it's quite flexible and won't crack, comes in white and clear options which you can add dye and/or effect powders like UV reactive, metal flake etc.. I've used it for years to make one off models that need multiple repeated parts or special effects like flames or water.

What is the maximum pressure that the bracs system can withstand?
@MyAirgunPhase Жыл бұрын
It depends on the cartridge, but around 200Bar/3000PSI for most of them.

The build of it seemed quite sturdy good. But I would not personally bother getting one of these. Too much work for the loading part imo.
