I did AIT there in 1992 for 91B field medic (66W now). Old Fort Club Med has been through some changes I see. We were all aware even then it was a beautiful base with fantastic nearby amenities and attractions and that our future duty posts probably weren't going to be as nice.

I don't miss being on base, I do miss the amenities that you got for free on there. My time was short there but I definitely remember it all from the Air Force side of the base.

Veterans can't shop in the PX.

​@@dvldoc21hazyim not sure what they are talking about... Veterans shop all the time, my family included when we were there. Along with this even the commisary is used by veterans and active duty. Never had an issue.
