Hi guys! A well deserved rest in town. It was indeed a difficult hike and you all did so well. I saw the taped up thumbs. So there was blood on the mountain, Joe! Hats off to Skeletore for his wonderful guidance and friendship. So Hazel will be back! It will be great to see you all together again. I cant say enough about your determination and bravery through these difficult hiking conditions. And what beautiful views you have experienced! Take care and do enjoy your time in town. We'll all be waiting to hear your plans going forward.

Interesting thing about memories. When you are younger and making memories you think that you will make even more, better memories later. After accumulating your life memories, one day you stop and realize that there are certain memories you will never do again but you are so glad you did them when you could.

Great job! I'm wondering if Skeletor will keep hiking with you for a bit longer. I read that the Tioga Pass Road is open now so you could get a ride from Tuolumne Meadow to Lee Vining (395)for resupply. Also, .Reds Meadow in Mammoth is right off the PCT. GREAT BURGERS and a nice store. It had tons of delicious goodies in the Hiker Box when I was there 3 years ago. . Hope Rumbles gets a new tent (or tent poles) and gloves and No Filter gets new booties. Get lots of rest! You deserve it. Thanks again for sharing your remarkable journey! Your videos provide a nice respite from some of the negative stuff going on in the world of late! Thanks for that!

As of the last official report, which was about two weeks ago, the plows had broken through to the entry station on the east side. I think they're working as diligently as safety allows, they have to be careful of avalanches, and probably needing to do road repairs.

The action that I am witnessing now as you recount the past week speaks volumes. No worse for the wear but safe after making the much younger hikers who passed on the Sierra range look a tad wimpy. Please thank Scott for all of us for sticking with you and sharing his mountaineering skills to keep you safe and relatively in one piece. You guys rock and make all of the seniors proud, the same type of feeling when I see our flag blowing in the wind. Enjoy a much earned zero. Looking forward to what is next. Be safe and hike on.

That was a really crazy hard section. Right now the section around Yosemite is super hard. There are next to no exits cuz so many passes are closed to road traffic. Like tioga pass from tuolumne meadows to Lee vining is closed. So the store there at tuolumne meadows is closed. Not sure if the section from bishop to mammoth is passable. Many are skipping to above Lake Tahoe to continue from Chester. I’ve really enjoyed your adventures. Stay safe. Thanks for posting

🎉 you made it. Great hike, guys! I found if I used lip balsm or vasiline around the nostrils it helped to keep them from cracking and dry skin from the dog nose effect! 😂 Have a well deserved rest, will you get new poles and gloves before going back out? Happy rest day anfmd hiking 👣

You did it! Bodies beat down, but at the same time I bet you guys feel like a million bucks! I think that whole section from KMS to Bishop Pass is your biggest accomplishment yet. You should have done a happy dance for town day on that one, but I understand Codgers forget, so it's ok!😂 What a great friend Skeletor has been to you. Cheers Skeletor!🍻

So when is the Codger gear line coming out? I can't wait for the single left glove and jacket with black tape highlights. Wearing shorts on ice is always a bad idea. You'll get sun burnt in new and interesting places. The baggier the shorts, the worse it is. P.s. I always bring skin moisturizer for my hands and lots of lip balm. The air on the west coast is very dry except when it's raining.

That must have been quite the adventure coming down that steep rock staircase above the lake, no? Or were you on a different trail? OMG, is that where you were using an ice axe and going down backward? I thought it was scary enough walking forward. Good luck getting new tent poles, or a new tent, as the case may be. It’s nice Hazel gets to join you.

Quite the adventure for a couple of "old guys"! Good job. Question for you; didn't the PCTA institute a time limit for traversing the Sierras? I thought I remembered the last couple of years hearing something about that. Which makes a year like this impossible according to the limits I thought I remembered. Thanks, and keep on hiking.
