Hey y'all roadrunner sent me! Will be following you, nice to see some seniors doing the PCT, be safe! :o) PS~Just watched your video and I love you guys! Your pace and laidback attitude is what this senior needed, it would be the way I'd hike it ... if I could. The history you are recording of the area and trail is very interesting too, Are you planning to do the whole PCT? I've got to go back and watch you from your beginning now! :o)

@lilygg8018 Thank you for following and for the encouraging words! There are several older hikers on the trail, many of whom are definitely keeping pace with the younger folks. As to doing the whole trail, our goal has been 5 months on the trail healthy and happy, and we'll see how far we get!

"California's National Parks, State Parks, and some County Parks prohibit cutting or collecting firewood within parks and instead encourage visitors to buy local or heat-treated firewood." (from Google) They used to allow cutting and collecting firewood. It seems like this would be a win-win situation. It would allow people to get firewood for the winter and also help clean up the forest floor. Regulations sometime seem stupid.

@Andy-ku3jy Hi. For the most part that hasn't been bothering us. We've been up around 5000-6000 feet which helps to keep it cooled off somewhat.
