So exciting, you're in my backyard now~ I love our farmer's/grower's markets. Ashland is wonderful for those of us whom have nutritional requirements. The best place to have an unplanned stop. So relieved to see you are doing well! Stay safe around the Crater Lake region. I used to be a part of ski patrol as well as SAR out there. Some bizarre things happen. It is a sacred place.

The very first thing I thought of when you announced you were hiking the PCT in the area you chose..*Squatch capital* ..I immediately started praying for your safety but dare not mention it(til you just did) because I didn't wanna put out any negative vibes or scare and worry anyone else! They live all over the place so..you could live in the Northwest all your life and never see one or run into one in your backyard in South Point, Ohio or Cave Run Lake area in the Daniel Boone Nat'l Forest in Eastern Kentucky!! Regardless, Carolyn stay alert and safe and have lots of fun Chick!! ✌🐢

Listen for strange sounds and RECORD them. Wood knocks (used to triangulate) owls in the middle of the day, whistle returns across distances, small rocks and pebbles (especially white ones, friendlies?) tumbling into your path, feeling watched, or shadowed. USE your intuition, as you well know. Thinking you may have done your research, pay Great attention to full moons(excellent times to avoid trails,) do not use garlic either if possible. I have known personally and professionally that this is wise advice. So much Grace to you Carolyn!

Bigfoot has been sighted in Michigan's Upper Peninsula too. Kinda funny when you go up there and they all got bigfoot statues out in front of gift shops :)
