Hi. 700kg but you can add pulleys to keep doubling it. They are made by a company in Canada but you can get them mail order all over the world 🙂

Do you ever use a skidding cone?

Hi. Thanks for the comment. 👍No I haven't . I tend to use multiple redirect movable pulleys to keep what I am pulling up and out of harm's way. But they certainly seem like a good idea I may well invest in one in the future.

Your bottom rope guard is completely bent out of shape. That's why your rope can end up in a "Gordian knot". Doesn't happen to me.

Yes. For a such a well designed bit of kit the rope guide is in a very vulnerable place. Whenever you release the rope tension and the winch drops it get hit. Use it enough and it gets out of shape. We're constantly straightening it.

@@JamesTheForester You're right. I adjusted mine a few times before buying a replacement, who knew a bit of bent wire would cost so much?! For its size and weight I think it is an excellent bit of kit (obviously I'm not a professional forester) and the torque back up from that little Honda as it comes under maximum load is quite impressive. Every time I think that someone has done their homework.
