Great Job "Little Tom". The very best restored Super Scenicruiser on the planet. This bus looks better than anything @ the Greyhound Museum. Great job Tom McNally.

OH wow that's awesome...I'm thinking about driving for Greyhound so we'll see but I'm happy that you preserved a piece of history for us.

That thing is so gorgeous and brings back so many memories that I don't care about the sound!! And it was a special bus to travel on and when you arrived at your destination, you really felt that you'd arrived!! I feel blessed.

You, my friend, must have a VERY understanding wife. I stumbled across ur channel today and have been enjoying your vids. I can't get over the amazingly authentic job you've done on 771's livery. I drove for a charter company that had ex-Dog 4104's, 4106's and 4107's back in the mid-70's. They had 3 of these ex-Dog decks out back rusting away 'n I'd go in them and think about what once was. A scrapper broke them up in '77... Shame. Keep up the good work! I'll be watching. Five stars.

When I was in high school back in the seventies, our marching band used to take bus trips and every one in awhile we got to ride on the Scenicruisers. They were very impressive buses, that's for sure.

Rode these a plenty in the 1960s between Port Arthur Tx and Baton Rouge. Going home to BR they were mostly signed up NEW ORLEANS just like this one. Wow the memories.

We bought 771 in 1997. It sat outside about three years until I could move and re-construct my barn. Then sat in barn while other projects were completed. Paint & body work probably took a year to complete (part time work basis, nights or weekends in suitable weather) Not much happens here in winter..too cold. No heat in barn. Interior took about 6 months which was completed just in time for "Scenicruise 2010" held in Adrian/Amarillo, Texas April 2010.

Currently reproducing hard to find aluminum castings & all rubber weatherstripping for PD4501-1001(& other 4501s too). Original seat upholstery material was located in England & is being sewn into seat covers for 43 seats. A friend & I also have all the curved glass reproduced new. Lots of behind the scenes progress, but no video work yet. Hope to get started on under-carriage mechanical work relatively soon. Then freshen up engine/trans. and re-install, then body/paint, and lastly interior.

I may have a couple of prints that show them at a distance. I'll look around. Next time u take the Old Girl out, you should drive out to a quiet spot, like "Prairie Stop" from the movie "North by Northwest," where the Scenicruiser drops off Cary Grant and leaves him in the middle of nowhere. Have ur boy stand by the roadside and get some good video of ur Deck pulling over, stopping, then driving off. I still remember the sound of the driver taking long pauses hitting those gears.

@pd4501771 I went to Jeffersontown High School in Louisville, Kentucky. We didn't own the buses. We would contract out for different road trips so for short ones we'd get old, crappy coaches that smelled but for longer trips we'd get better buses. I'm sure that I don't have any pictures of any of these buses but I'll bet that some of my friends have some. If I run across any I'll let you know. You sure do love the "Scenics", don't you?!

Basset Transit out of Richland, WA used to have 2 Scenicruiser and 5 GMC Buffalos. I used to tease Doug, there owner, "are you running a bus company or a rolling museum", I would ask him?

@VMac822 The high school I attended owned 3 unrestored Scenicruisers and used them regularly until 1993." Wow! How come they got rid of them (still impressive to keep them in modern times). How come they got rid of 'em? Where's their address?? I know of some schools locally that could use 'em [hee hee]. Nice buses.
