Craig actually makes a bag rider you can purchase. It isn't showing on the website last I checked, but if you get a hold of him you can order it. I've got two PDC Custom Chassis (one is rimfire CZ455 and the other is centerfire Curtis Custom Vector) and really love mine.

Nice. When I ordered mine I think the bag riders were still in the prototype stage. It's a great chassis for the price!

@@CopperStarPrecision they sure are. I'm probably going to be in the market for another one once I order my Rim-X.

He mentions that the thumb screws tend to unscrew. There is a simple solution to this. Apply some blue loctite to the bolts and let them set up. Then break them loose with an allen wrench and work them back and forth until it gets easy to turn. The loctite will add enough drag to keep them from coming loose unintentionally. But you will still be able to turn the thumb screws.

Thanks for the fantastic tip! I hadn't thought of that.

Have had mine now over a year and best purchase I made was getting the PCD Custom chassis. Same upgrades as yours except for a different color (bronze).

The "tooled" buttstock version comes flat bottomed now (at least mine did) JMO the tooless is not necessary unless you have some serious difference in LOP between different positions and change constantly. Also with the "tooled" version you get the following advantages: 1) lighter (by like half a pound per their website). Weight in the back means more weight in the front to maintain proper balance. ALso will your cheek piece slide side to side. I find that mine does and its very handy to get my face centered behind the scope naturally, sort of like cast in a shotgun. 2) the cheek piece has two positions forward and back, I put mine back given my lack of a neck but long arms AND I can remove the bolt without removing the cheek piece. 3) the cheek piece and buttstock removes easily for cleaning. I use the PDC plus my own washers to get it to return to same position. 4) three allen keys adjusts every single bolt on this thing. I store them in the grip. Another hack: get longer screws and attach four weights up front "two by two". Gives you an excellent ledge to place your hand and uses the weight more efficiently. You can also just hang arca weights off the arca rail and I find that to be very convienent to remove rapidly for the occasional slung up/unsupported stage.

What bipod would you recommend with this chassis?
@CopperStarPrecision6 ай бұрын
I use a Cyke-Pod, but any bipod with an Arca attachment would work. Accu-Tac, Atlas, and Thunderbeast Arms all make high quality bipods. It depends on your budget and what you want to use it for.
