There is a reason why One Piece is the most sold Manga of all time. One Piece has fantastic World Building, mysteries, and amazing build up to massive events. Oda is a master at foreshadowings.

NOTE - Oda the artist and author INTENTIONALLY makes some characters weird and ugly to signify they are weird or crazy characters. Its also why some Sea monsters and Villains look like they were plucked from black and white disney cartoons and the more beautifully or accurate the character design the more serious or flushed out the characters is. - Also, since we are on this video, Viola was 19 when Doffy usurp the throne, she wasn't underage and the reason she was TARGETTED was because she has a devil fruit ability to see through walls and see in people's mind, exposing Doffy's operation which made her a perfect target.

That's not a One Piece specific thing. In all anime, family names are given first, because that's how it's done in Japan.

You should definitely watch it. There’s a reason why for over 20 years it’s been quite literally ON TOP, #1 for the Manga sphere, and has been at LEAST top ten most watched anime every single year since Marine ford.

Well 9/10 characters that look goofy are and aren’t meant to be taken seriously. Ps: not a lot of people talk about this but episodes are really like 15 mins when u skip recap and intro

If you don’t watch the anime then you can at least read the manga to cut yourself some time since some scenes were censored in the anime. The anime tries to do 1 chapter per episode and every now and then 1.5-2 chapters per episode. One chapter takes like 7 minutes to read so you can easily read 10+ chapters per hour which is equivalent to 7-8 episodes of the show. You can go back and watch your favorite arcs and fight scenes. You won’t regret putting time into this show. Doflamingo is only one villain out of 20 and there’s people worse than him.

OP art is misleading as hell. People dismiss the whole series because it looks cartoony, and Oda uses that to his advantage because this series gets DARK. There's plenty of humor and fun adventure, but once we get into character backstories it gets so traumatic and depressing, which, juxtapose to the bright colors and crazy character designs, makes it all the more unsettling yet intriguing😅

Thing is One Piece has The Dragonball thing going for it. A very lighthearted and fun world/design but also some very dark and horrifying events within it. However while on a smaller scale in terms of Deaths (compared to Dragonball) I’d say One Piece is Darker cause it dives into the Cruelty and Evil of Society and governmental corruption. Also to put this into perspective Doflamingo isn’t even the most evil character in the anime/show (he’s top 2 tho) That Honor goes to Imu when you realize just what this person did to the world for hundreds of years..

@@Mikazuchireborn fair enough haha I was defo underselling them, though it could be fair to say if you are in that top 10 you could dance with them for a bit, depending on the power match up and how seriously the admirals are taking that individual but that might be me thinking to hard about power scaling in one piece, one of the most ‘rock paper scissors’ anime out there lol

You could mess with an Admiral if you were in the top 10 percent, and you may even be strong enough to survive, but you aren't winninng. Luffy was in the top 1% of the planet by the time he reached Marineford, the problem is that he wasn't in the top 50 people in that war.

I been watching one piece 2 eps a week for almost 2 years. Just watched ep 182. Its my backburner show. Not my main shows. But ive had friends spoil most of the show for the last 20 years so i know the big events and villains. But seeing all the actual context...listen if yall are considering it its worth it. Id say watch filler and all. Just keep a slow steady pace. The show benefits from its length. Maybe not its pacing always lol. But its a good long term investment. Every 3 or 4 days i watch an ep. Still more than double time of the original show. 2.3X faster to be exact because im a fkn nerd. Sadly.

Ok so one piece is good when you start watching it but as it get deeper you feal that its gotta get better (in mi opinion) And this is something that you will notice in almost every arc of one piece the Panda Man (the man with the panda head) apears everywere in the series
