I am new to this game and trying to learn it. With that in mind could you explain the attack? At 3:53 you stated that the only objective that met both requirements of having no Japanese forces ashore and adjacent to a location with Japanese forces ashore was the Solomon Islands, why are New Caledonia, Samoa, Hawaii, and Midway not eligible targets of the attack?

Anybody have any thoughts on the "Total War" expansion? I love the idea of having to organize your industrial and political base to start cranking out war production, especially since not many games I have seen really go into that kind of thing, but I don't know how fun/balanced it is in actual play.

I have a question in regards to the Japanese orders. The rule book states that when it is called for the player to roll a die it is to be one ten sided die. If I recall correctly when you are to roll for the Japanese orders it calls for a die to be rolled which per the rules would be one die. You are rolling two for the orders. You know the rules so I am wondering if I am playing it wrong. Could you clarify? I have watched other play throughs on other channels and they make numerous errors in the rules as they are very confusing to interpret.

@@mikewilcox4346 With the third edition of the game, the Japanese orders chart was modified. Two dice are rolled now instead of one.

Can you explain why carrier fleet 4 went to the Solomon Islands when they could have gone to Samoa or Hawaii since there are no Japanese, there, all 3 of them are objectives, and they are adjacent to the infantry in the Gilbert Islands? Following along on my own board here.
