It would be best if you come to Vrindavan yourself and witness the archeological heritage site known as the Govindadeva temple. You will then see the intricate carvings and how even these were disfigured. Govindadeva was originally a seven story temple and now only three floors remain. Aurangzeb's plans to build a Mosque there were thwarted by Hanumanji. It is said the ground started shaking violently and many soldiers were buried beneath the remains of the temple and the rest fled in fear. So a Mosque was never built there.

One of the mistakes I did was to compare India with other countries. India in itself is a totally different place, The whole civilization is revolved around the strong life of spirit. She has to do a lot of hard work to revive her old - time indomitable spirit. All the powers are in the human body, ancient temples are an example of her ancient spirit, but she has lost her self - confidence in modern times.
