Pdogg: I won’t accept your point for Noor Ahmed he is good pick they can use instead of marco Jansen in spinning pitch !!!! Really good picks from my point of view. I seen at the end he used my opinion in playing 11 😅. I typed this command before seeing fully 😅. 2. Strong team also struggled a lot pdogg!! Example :MI don’t underestimate this PunjabKings mock auction team !!! 3.for GT strong batting but bowling is less if someone got hit by opponent this combo will get struggle for sure. Positive from bowling is Mohmmed shami , Rashid khan ,Washington sundar !! Why do you make Subman gill at one down and Ben ducket at opening ??

I was part of Team Punjab at the mock auction table. I have to respectfully disagree with PDogg here on spending that much on Noor Ahmad as a backup. Just want to explain the thought process - It is a result of auction order and the dynamics it brings with it. Marco Jansen in the mock auction was in the Accelerated Set; much later than Spinners Set where Noor Ahmad was available. There is no assurance we would have got Marco at that point. Getting Marco was a bonus and it fell into the team structure well. Noor was very much part of our Playing XII strategy (and it is bowling heavy by team structure) when we picked him. We decided to not RTM Livingstone and went for Noor, to strengthen bowling. Historically, take any league any tournament, the teams that make the playoffs (the bare minimum goal) or final will have either good batting depth or strong bowling. Our team structure allows us to strengthen the depth as well as bowling. When I say strong bowling, it’s not just 5 bowlers but 5 bowlers who can bring variety of skills and attributes (left/right, height, angle, hitting the deck, swing, fast wrist spin, slow wrist spin, finger spin). The team we put together has everything you can ask for in bowling attack. And Jansen was carded mainly to add the batting depth and pace bowling all rounders are generally rare - Take the auction list and filter out Pace bowling all rounders, you will find hardly 2/3 names. The team we picked is not supposed to blast the opposition with 240 scores but they can do well to get the 180 par scores and defend it or restrict opposition to under par scores - Mullanpur is one venue where such tactics are rewarded. I do agree with the overall sentiment around Devdutt Padikkal. Lomror is his backup, who can again be slotted in at 4/5. All I can say with local batters - there are very few players with serious upside. It just takes a season for them really break out, when they do their value becomes 14C from 3C (just like it happened with Venky). IPL market value pretty much swings like Stock market.

My opinion on Punjab, Bowling is Good, but batting shaky... Nowaday teams are getting 100 in 10 overs or atleast 12 overs. PK doesnt have that potential. TOP3 are not so distractive, Faf will give balance but not distractive. Even pant is not distractive, he is not best in T20 format, yes he score 50 in 37 balls, but distractive means someone get from 18-23 balls like SKY, Abishek, Thilak, Fraser etc

The best part which makes this channel the best cricentainment is Ashwin's anchoring skills . He brings the right things which audience need to know and would like to know from a show . Few channels which review teams just fight over who has got best XI where rants overtake cricketing points but here entertainment plus right questions like , What two or three changes that PBKS could have done to raise 52 to 82 ? It was a good review by both Ash & Pdogg... However I would like to be critical with certain points which Pdogg made...It seems like if Pdogg sits in the auction, he will form a team with only 11 players and take the remaining purse amount available to his house for personal use...Also, seeing the marks he has given for teams, it feels like he is a very stingy personality or his teacher would have failed him during board exams by not giving the marks which he deserved!
