This reminds me of the guy who got knocked out, imagined multiple years of life where he got married, had kids, and a good life till he noticed a lamp. It didn't seem right. And it was that lamp that made him realize he was dreaming and he woke up, only a few minutes after he'd been knocked out.

Ephesians‬ ‭6:10‭-‬14‬ ‭says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless. 😊😊

Except for the fact that they literally blinked out of existence. It isn't wholesome it's fleeting. That's the whole message. We exist on a scale of time so unfathomably large that our existence no matter how significant in relevance to ourselves is smaller than the tiniest summer ant. And yet we ourselves make our own destiny, fate, memories, lives. To err is human as is to live. Thus to oneself, to live is the ultimate privelage.

It was a happy ending. In the time it took for that being to wink it's eye, Sherman lived a full and happy life, even if it wasn't necessarily "real", it was to him, and he learnt to believe it and not fight it. His options were to disappear miserable and always fighting, or disappear on his own terms. Happy and in a world with some version of the people he loves. Either, time always wins.

It completely flew over my head that they’re used to living forever or not aging. Only when Peabody explained did it all make sense; because I’m already so adjusted to the concept, though because Sherman was so unfamiliar and quite apprehensive of it, It lead me to believe that something larger was at play. Great storytelling, great foreshadowing, great visuals, it’s an absolutely beautiful piece of work

The answer you're looking for is that Time always leads to nothing. When they left the timeline they created a new one, and that new timeline only contained Peabody and Sherman. Thus for there to be nothing, they had to die. None of the visions were real, from the moment they left the timeline they were in the void. You can either assume that the visions were hallucinogenic from the immense passing of Time with complete sensory deprivation, or that Time manifested as a physical being to kill them since there was nothing else preventing the collapse of the universe. A massive amount of pressure against two people, trying to snuff them out. Also potentially a cause for the disintegration.

I like to think this story highlights the importance of learning to cope with the inevitable. Shermans episodes really do feel like a literal manifestation of anxiety and self-destructive rumination. Seeing time as a villain to "beat" as opposed to something that simply is, always will be, and to make the most of. Things really won't work if you "don't believe". Not in the lie of reality, but in the truth about time.

The first few parts were brutally terrifying in that gothic beauty sort of way. (Though I did think the 9/11, wanting to watch the titanic sink, and so on were a bit much. But regardless.) And of course the intense imagery of Peabody and Sherman distorted face and feature, arguably being the highlight of your drawing as always. But for me, it was the final two part that sold it as one of my personal favorites. I mean, these shorts started off with intense imagery, shifted to existential nightmare fuel, but somehow ends in a surprisingly bitter sweet ending. Like, have you ever heard of the phrase “nothing last forever”? In that case, why fear the inevitable? Because nothing last forever. I may be looking too optimistically at this but that’s what I’m taking away from it. Which is to say, what a way to end. Kiddos on that. And that little wink at the end, nicely done.

@@LordVandor1 …..Ok, I might need to give YOU a few days to realize what your own comment means. But I’ll give you a few pointers to steer you on the right direction. 1, all of these tragedies make me uncomfortable to a degree. Hence why I wrote “….and so on were a bit much.” It is not just the titanic, or as you call it TT for some reason. It’s everything including the burning of Native people, the tsunami over Japan, and such. I simply pointed out 9/11 as that is what sticks out the most to me. 2, these tragedies are still on people’s mind, especially in America where we have a yearly Memorial Day of 9/11. So sorry if I, a dumb American that was barely seven years old when the event took place, gets a little tense over the subject that is still being discuss today. 3, the titanic, TT as you call it, was built in British but it was owned by an American company and sunk on its way to New York. So the titanic is well into American history as a tragic event. In case you weren’t aware. And finally 4, don’t just assume I am not saddened or unaware of tragic events unrelated to America. Especially when you put down the titanic as TT. Ugh, you and your logic, I don’t think even you understand yourself.

You know, this looks like a version of how Sherman copes with the loss of Mr. Peabody. All those horrid memories of past adventures on tragic scenes are a way of denying that there ever was a good time with Mr. Peabody. It leads him down a hole, and it is Penny who gets him out. Out of the anxiety, the panic, the depression the boy was in and for a good while it worked, but it all came back that day, when she made him breakfast, and he was reminded of the times his father had done the same for him. He went nuts and had another breakdown. It made him question everything and while in all this, he had to realize, that nothing, lasts forever. (I am afraid that I will make it more complex than needed, typical for me, just go with, Sherman copes with the loss of Mr. Peabody and this is a portrait of it.) Penny is still his wife, but this nothing creature saying, it only works, if he believes, is actually Sherman's conscious saying, that he has to believe in the reality he is in, and he has to stop going back with his mind, to see that his life is right ahead of him and he as to see it as it is, to believe that it actually is what it is. That moment, where Mr. Peabody is telling him, that nothingness is time its self, the passing of it, is actually just meant to say, that time is passing as if it were nothing and while that is the case, all this father wants of his boy, is to just go about his life as he did, even if he knew, that it would be short-lived. So yeah, the lesson of it is, that one needs to live their life and cherishes it and to not go back all the time if something ends, but to see it as a point in life that just has passed. It was good, it is sad it's over, but that is life.

God bless. 😊😊

Instead of his mind trying so desperately to keep a distorted picture of Mr. Peabody, to make it easier to forget him, he finally lets the original memories back into it. i’ve shared this with my mom, she loves it, i have been watching this multiple times a day, I have never been a big peabody and sherman fan or really any sort at all but this story line combined with the music and the expert drawings, it really just is so impressive. This is your magnum opus. This story could work with any sci fi pair, like rick and morty or brian and stewie, just the artistic talent as well as the incredible storytelling is just magnificent, I can’t express enough how meaningful these notepad drawings are.

Ive felt myself rended apart gratuitous ways I cannot begin to even comprehend in lucidity or taken to places of pleasure that leave the light of life hollow. Ive found lifelong love and struggled for centuries in hellscapes of my mind, constantly shifting when I think i see an end only to realize its over when I feel the life drain from me onto to make up in life. this might sound really really stupid but the ending actually moved me to tears. this entire concept is ridiculously amazing and sherman living his last moments with a mr peabody he knows isnt real is just heartbreaking. i dont cry easily too, there is a RIDICULOUS and FASCINATING amount of talent behind this thing. jesus. i think the part that really got me was when peabody turned around saying “sherman??”, and he looks so tired and old, but its finally the real peabody. and then he just dies, leaving sherman with nothing but a fake reality, knowing its better to embrace it than fight it. he knows that his last moments arent real but its the only comfort he’ll be able to get before everything turns to nothing. just thinking about myself and my own father in these situations made everything 10x more emotional, besides the time traveling to 9/11 stuff. just thinking about all of the horrifying traumatizing shit i went through, similar to the content in the video, and after all that fear, all of it leading up to my last moments where all i can do is comfort myself before everything ceases to exist. JESSUSSS. i hate thinking that death could be like this. i would rather have it be instant, no flashbacks no nothing than having to lose everything right in front of you, knowing theres nothing you can do. the ending of this was like the experience of a loved one calmly comforting you while you’re on your deathbed. think about bojack horseman, that scene in the later seasons when bojack realizes hes dying and calls diane. hes helpless, all “diane” can do is calmly explain things to him before he cant exist anymore. i should see a therapist.

This thing reminds me more of Oblivion from Marvel than other stuff because he also wants to turn everything into nothing, and the similarity between both is that both are jerks. I had a really bad experience a few months ago, I really don't want to get into detail but I thought I was dying. When I started to get over it, I contemplated reality, life, death, hope, and if anything really has any meaning. It was not one of, it was THE most terrifying moment in my life. And since then, I've learned to see the world much differently. I've never seen a work of art that seemed to understand these feelings as much as this. The inevitability of death and the search for comfort in a cold, unforgiving universe. And the fact that I saw it a fucking mr peabody parody. I don't know, this probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But you make great work and I hope you can make more successes like this in the future.

First off, I LOVE THESE SERIES. They take something original and put a massive twist to the normal concept of the movies/shows. BUT, I do wanna mention the fact that it wouldn't make sense if Sherman didn't account Leap Year. Reason being is because if you don't account leap year, thats about 5-8 months, or 1-2 years depending on exact time. but since we are given a time, such as the titanic sinking, that means its April 14, 1912. With accounting for leap year, Sherman would have put them from either 1911 or 1913.. If worse comes to worse, 1910. Which all years were historically known already. It kind of ticks me off everytime I watch it because I like the mystery of things, but this was a bit too easy.. So I like to think that the "Way-back" uses a different time calibrator so if he wanted April 14, 1912.. Sherman needs to input it as digital code or something.. Like "et3445fv5567cc35677" and he messed up somewhere on that which lead to them leaping of the timeline. I honestly after this one stopped trying to make sense of these.. XD
