The "Irazusando" and Ichigo walking in that area is not in manga so people think its Kubo trying to flesh the story out in comparison to the manga. Apparently Irazusando means something like "path that cant be walked" and given the commentary overlapping it from Ichibe it means that the spiritual pressure inside that place gets so dense when nearing towards it ends that its gravity just flattens you to the ground, turning you to stone over time. So in the end you could say that all those stepstones Ichigos walking on right now are people that turned to ash and stone while trying to do the same training. Just a neat little detail added to the anime I guess, I like it. Wonder what it will work towards to.

No special genetics, no inner demon to draw power from and no pathetic retcon to give him a last minute power up (cough Renji cough). I really dont hold any of his losses against him. Unlike the eternal failure that is Toshiro. Man is said to be one of the greatest shinigami prodigies to ever exist in modern day and has supposedly the strongest ice based zanpakuto. He should have been one of the best but constantly gets EMBARRASSED whenever he faces someone worth anything. Renji no matter the retcon atleast got to show his "true power" In this arc. Toshiro was basically a punching bag.

The Quincy are as strong as what I wanted the Espada to be. The Espada wrre hyped up to be Captain-level at Adjuucas and beyond Captain-level at Vasto Lorde, but their showing didn't reflect that level of power at all. The Quincy definitely showcase that level of strength.

Funny thing is people clowning on toshiro but he's only lost twice so far both times against aizen. And the second lost was when everyone tried to rush aizen so it wasn't even just him. Technically he's got one of the best fight records in bleach. he has a lot interrupted fights and draws but not a lot of actual losses.

Only problem I have with this episode is that they're acting like Soi Fon suddenly doesn't know how to fight without her bankai. Like it make sense for Hitsugaya because usually goes straight to bankai in every fight but Soi Fon has one of most broken shikai and barely even uses her bankai since she hates it.

The thing is it's not really that she can't fight without it but that the enemy is so strong that she doesn't have the damage output without it. After Aizen it seems like she doesn't want to rely on her shikai so she pushed her training fully into shunko. She's also facing what appears to be a fully robotic opponent so who knows how shikai would react to his body.
