You may be misunderstanding something about Ichigo’s Hollow Mask/Form. Ichigo’s hollow form isn’t driven by hate. It’s driven by instinct and a desire to fight. He didn’t hate Ulquiorra when he transformed. His hollow took over to protect Orihime. You’ll see more about it though soon enough.

[Tidbits & Clarifications][291 & 292] - Tosens resurrection looks like a Cricket, which is intentional given that it's also the translated name of his Zanpaktou. It's also a metaphor for him falling to the monstrous side of revenge, at what point does the means not justify the ends. Tosen has a Just cause however, the amount of Injustice he has to commit to achieve it dirties his argument...which is shown physically. - Tosen being a blind character has obvious poetic implications revolving around his character. A big one being that he could see things clearer when he was blind, the justice he saw and seeked made him blind to the ramifications of his actions. - We also get more Info regarding why Aizen killed Tosen at the moment in the Light Novels - Sidenote, Ichigo actually has used instant regeneration, it occurred after his battle with Ulquiorra. This puts Ichigo and Tosen on a separate level of Hollowfication than the Vizards. - As mentioned before Ichigo's hollowmask is supposed to have horns here, it should look the same as it did when he lost control against Ulquiorra, but Ichigo fears himself, he's afraid of what he could be so he's subconsciously holding himself back (He fears his own instincts). In Bleach the strongest characters are the one's most aware and at peace with themselves. Aizen is extremely intelligent so he's aware of this, therein he knows Ichigo as he is now, with or without the Mask means nothing because Ichigo fears his own world. [Reposted]

And we also do know that he hates that one king. If I was doing a character study I would really look into that just simply off of the fact. I mean the biggest gas light manipulation that gets done to Ichigo when he tries to attack him is the fact that he's smart enough to realize for some reason he didn't use the mask. And if you use context clues you would have to ask why aren't you using it. So yet again using context clues you would probably think something went wrong the last time you used it so you're scared of using it. The instant Ichigo knowledge within himself that Aizen was right he had Ichigo completely manipulated in that moment the next thing he did say that he also try so quickly swerve around is the idea that. Other than him being scared he then shoots the idea that you don't have a true reason to fight me period when he also looks over the next thing to think about and that is that he never denies the fact that is Ichigo Water Garden that attack off and Aizen didn't have that little Diamond Shield behind him and the attack landed he would have died but I'm not going to say even if the diamond Shield was gone he would have died because as was shown he is faster than Ichigo

Kakyō is the name of Tosen's friend which was never revealed in the manga or anime but later during one of the LN....which is a whole bag of fuckery in itself. And something we might see, think read somewhere Kubo mentioned Bleach isn't done after TYBW, so potential CFYOW or Hell Arc. Given how far ahead you guys are now you've probably figured out Ichigo's transformation against Ulqiorra wasn't a resurrection but the Vasto Lorde form of his inner hollow.

[Tidbits & Clarifications][289/290] - Without spoilers, I can say that in the initial anime/manga we don't get the FULL rundown of what occurred to Tosen, we are given the general idea, but it's not until later in additional content that the entire TRUTH about what happens to Tosen is revealed, we get a real understanding of why he's against the Soul Society and honestly it's pretty messed up and we do learn who the Husband was. [It's another reminder that the Soul Society doesn't have the best record when it comes to morality or justice] - Aizen states that Shinji and his gang are "Mock Arrancar"/Failed Versions...In theory, Tousen's would be a completed version of hollowfication, you can tell because, unlike the others who just get a mask, Tousen gets a mask alongside hollowed bodily changes. - Aizen here once again express the Umbermensch philosophy, there is no purpose in believing or trusting in something or someone when he himself asserts what is to be... that is how a god should think. - Komamura has already informed us of who he's most grateful too and it's Head Captain Yama (Kubo actually recently revealed that Yama was the one who gave him the surname "Komamura") - Sidenote, Ichigo actually has used instant regeneration, it occurred after his battle with Ulquiorra. This puts Ichigo and Tosen on a separate level of Hollowfication than the Vizards.

The dubbing once again ruined a great moment with bad translation work. Hitsugaya's line about fighting in anger is actually making a point in the original sub, he's not saying that he "just now realized he'll fight Aizen hatefully" like the dub claims for some reason. He states that swinging your sword in anger is just violent murder and a captain should only swing their sword out of duty not hatred. Then, that he knows he himself might be unfit to be a captain, but doesn't mind losing his position if he does, because he didn't come to this battle to fight Aizen as a captain of the Soul Society. He came to *violently murder him.* They also seriously undersell Tousen's power by adding scenes of Komamura fighting back somewhat successfully, whereas in the manga he got stomped pretty much immediately after Tousen transformed without being able to put up a fight. The anime makes it looks like his bankai is somewhat on equal grounds with Tousen's transformation in power, but in the manga it's much more implied that Tousen's transformation is both faster *and stronger* and Komamura just had no chance to win.

again Ichigo doesn't need to not look at Aizen's sword, he needs to not see Aizens shikai release. So like when Shinji says "collapse, sakanade" Ichigo cannot see Aizen do that with his own zanpakuto. Aizen would have to re-seal his shikai and then release it again by saying the command "Shatter, Kyoka Suigetsu" while Ichigo is watching in order to hypnotize Ichigo, which is something that's very telegraphed and Ichigo could fairly easily avoid seeing it, until Aizen does that though Ichigo can look at his sword just fine.
