Johann Äpfelburg I’m kinda similar in that I’ll buy a textbook and maybe do the first few chapters and then get distracted. It’s tough learning a language man. I can understand Spanish from having a lot of Spanish friends and watching Spanish shows but I can barely speak it because I haven’t studied it properly, and I’m the same with German and Italian (Spanish I understand most words, German and Italian I understand simpler conversations like in tv shows but I struggle with like the news and more complex stuff). I feel like languages you either learn by necessity (either living in the country or having to do a qualification or something), or you don’t really learn at all.
