I doubt they even had to practice much. And make no doubt, these people are famous because of their voices, even though they aren't trained professional singers. If you're trained in the art of public speaking, and you aren't tone deaf, it's really rather simple to pull something like this off especially when your fame can get someone else's bankroll to provide a recreated iconic set like this or get you into the original venue.

Jack E. Jett They're definitely lip-syncing, presumably to their own voices (but don't quote me on that). The track must have been pre-recorded before they went on set.

Jack E. Jett Nah, Ferrel is much better than I expected, but Bowie's voice is amazing in this song. Almost as good as Roy Orbison(Has the most beautiful voice in rock for a man, IMHO). But, WOW are they 'on' with this.

These guys honestly did a beautiful job of singing a beautiful duet. Not a single stab of humor until the thing was over and it was just such a respectful cookie cutter duplication of what being and David did and it’s so poignant in the holidays. I’ve always love that song, especially knowing that special was recorded in late September 1977 and Bing died less than a month later Yeah it’s really cool. What Willand Mr. Riley just did.

These two comedians paid a beautiful homage to two. Great Giants. I wouldn’t of blamed them for doing voiceovers, but they both prove they can also sing an absolutely proved that they have respect for those who came before them.
