Any tips on how to make the down strums sound softer so they sound like two different down strums? Mine all sound the same and a bit harsh

Hmmm, when I strum softer I strum lighter, but I also just strum 2-3 of the strings, so not the full 4. See if that works for you! :) Are you using your index finger for the down strums?
