I'm going to miss the peaceful series 😭 I think it's with some limitations that more creativity is unlocked. Engineering workarounds for various challenges has been my favorite thing to watch and I hope that continues in any future series

@@TheRealWormbo but supersmelters are not specific to peaceful mode, I’d use the little time left to build mostly peaceful exclusive contraptions if I had mangos redstone-iq We’ve seen plenty of supersmelters all designed or improved by Ilmango meanwhile I bet there are a lot of peaceful-only contraptions out there. I just want them to use their time wisely on this series that is so different from all the ones before especially since they already have a smelter that should fit their needs for this not scicraft-level amount of players If the series continued for longer I had no concerns about a new smelter and I also don’t know any more contraptions that are exclusive to the peaceful mode but i guess ilmango or the others on the server could surely figure out something that hasn’t been build or shown somewhere else already

Have you guys considered needing a redstone pulse for the crafting table to craft? It strays away from the vanilla furnace/brewing stand idea, but currently it seems very confusing/unintuitive (the new item is “crafted” only when there is an unpowered hopper below the crafting table). Obviously the problem comes from the fact that items can’t usually be stored in a crafting table, while in a furnace they will be held and processed automatically.

Also, I think auto crafters should maybe be more expensive to incentivize smart use of them. Again this strays away from vanilla, but using one table for multiple recipes is very cool but currently mostly unnecessary

Having the dispenser crafter linked to a skeleton farm would be great. I have so many bows now that it's a pain to keep on top of them. I'm on 3+ stacks of dispensers but don't have a use right now. I might just build a filter and lava bin the bows now!

I kinda want this server to have even more building in it. Like when you have farms for everything you get builders to use the endless resources. Its something I wanted to see in scicraft but if im remembering right ragou said something about how the builders got in the way of the technical community. But i think the idea of a builders utopia with unlimited resources is kinda cool.

Maybe to update old worlds, they could just add 64 air blocks under the current terrain, and make sure that there are bedrock walls to prevent you from falling out of the world when you go under 0 in a new chunk and try to go under the bedrock in old chunks.

Idea for a series. probs not a good time for it rn but anyways. "Snapshot series", the world is updated to the latest snapshot as soon as it comes out, no matter the bugs, if the snapshot doesn't allow the world to be transferred then use mods to force it. I think it could be fun, taking advantage of all the new bugs and glitches with each new snapshot whilst also praying that the next snapshot doesn't break all the farms on the server.

I found a trick way back in 1.5.2 and it works in 1.16.5 basically get a ton of minecarts on one rail and then get them to move off the rail and they will stay together and go in one direction without rails for at least 10k blocks (road it for 9856 before I got bored)

I recently had to craft some dispensers myself and used a VERY simple system for it. I used a setup that would normaly be used for 3x3 recipes and simply put in full stacks of cobblestone and redstone. Then I just filled the hopper and the chest above with bows (They are very easy to craft and to drop on the floor). And that's it, the system does the rest for you. All you gotta do, is to make sure to calculate the amount of items needed for crafting beforehand (7X64 cobble, 64 redstone, 3x64 string and sticks each).

Hey mango. Do you guys have any tricks to make sure your servers don't crash? I'm sure that a 4 month flying machine project would break significantly if the server goes down unexpectedly, so it would be in your best interest to not have that happen, of course. Most servers I've played on, albeit not on a remotely similar scale as even the peaceful server in terms of progress, often crash due to not being able to handle the chunks being loaded or the machines running in the background. I'm sure that server dedication and money payed has a lot to do with it, but I am wondering if you could share any tips you guys have found out. Great series. A bit sad to hear that it is going to be coming to an end soon, even though we all knew it would be temporary in the first place.
