The oboe is such an underrated instrument.

It is beautiful but many people do not play it because it is difficult to learn, unlike the clarinet or saxophone. The bassoon is in a similar position.

The cor anglais is my favorite wind instrument but oboe is a very close second. It's sound is very beautiful

This takes me back to my High school years when I played oboe in the orchestra and symphonic band. Such a difficult instrument to learn but so intensely moving to hear.

Have never heard most of these pieces (besides Poulenc, Saint Saens, Mozart and a few other relatively well-known works). Thanks.

Merci pour cette compilation car j'adore la sonorité du hautbois , que je connais plutôt à la période baroque. Remarque : Mozart est classé en période classique. Mais qu'importe , le principal , c'est la beauté de la musique.

It's such a shame we don't hear much of this instrument or wind instruments in general in modern film scores anymore, as it evokes so much emotion in me I cannot explain, which marks it as one of my favorite instruments. I love older '70s and '80s film scores for that reason. They have a sound unlike anything in this age imo

We are living in a world of a : next, next, next and more, more, more. That is sad ! Oboe music is the lovely opposite to this. I am an ambitious musical self-taught artist and I made this 3 compositions , which have many melancholic-romantic moods with a combination of Flute / Oboe play. My composes are a classic music in a Greek style : kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIDdk6GdaKugqrs a classic music for a ballet dance : kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJScfHtuhKyCfpo a classic music for a figure-skating performance : kzbin.info/www/bejne/movJdmd4YrppZ68 Many of today's musicians have newest computers and expensive Keyboards with Gigabytes of Sample-Sounds and they do nothing good with it. I am playing on an old Ensoniq TS-10 Keyboard with tiny 6 MB Sample-Sounds and I make fascinating compositions. I'm looking to collaborate with musicians or an ethical entertainment company that also loves art , not just market values ! My email is shown in all videos.
