Out of the thousands of books I've read over the years, Laura Kinsale's For My Lady's Heart continues to hold a special place in my heart. It's one of my all time favourite books which blew me away when I read it for the first time several years ago. When I moved to my new apartment last year, I had no choice but to give away my physical collection of romance books except for a few. For My Lady's Heart was one of my precious few. I simply could not part with it. I'm excited for you to read it and share your thoughts. Love your channel!!

Try placing the Books in a plastic container with dryer sheets. Sometimes that works. I usually by books from goodwill and can’t stand the smell. I’ve also tried a used dryer sheet with a little essential oil. Don’t let it touch the books and don’t use to much oil. Those turned out great.

I've done this but I've put a cup of baking soda in the plastic container. I left them in there for like a week because I forgot about them, but when I came back, no smell!

I am the same on the smoke smell. And haven't figured out a way to get rid of it either. 🙃

I have removed smoke out of books by doing multiple cycles of books and fabric sheets. Get laundry fabric sheets (dollar tree) and put about 4 fabric sheets between the pages of each book. Then put the books ( like 5) in a bag and add more fabric sheets. Tie a knot in the bag and let sit for a number of days. If smell is still there when you check later, through away fabric sheets and bag. Then start the process over again. Depending on how strong the smell, I've had to do this two of three times. I have done this to many of my second hand books. If you try this good luck.
