Nice demo with this beast synth. . I just need a ui board replacement as my encoders getting sluggish. Apparently it’s £125 for the ui board no soldering needed. It Has the encoders display and buttons all for £125. That’s a good service. The job shouldn’t be too hard to do neither. I’m Loving the a4. The mk2 is tempting but a ui board for 125 as oppose to paying 1000 is a big difference. they only upgraded the hardware to keep the beast alive and a little cleaner sounding but not a major change. It Shows how good the analogue 4 is. I can’t wait to get mine renewed for 125 after 10 years of synth abuse aha 😤

Thanks !! also for the tip... my encoders are a bit wobbly too... but they still work perfectly. My dream is to eventually swap the display for a new white on black one. But finding the right one is difficult.

Aha definitely a good move. Elektron are king with their products . Puts another decade of life into the machine. Save replacing encoders separately and they’re plated down so makes sense to get a whole ui board. Maybe a display mod for that but not sure. Contrast mod maybe aha. Happy synthing bud. 👍

Best A4 I've heard, love it. I want to create lush chords, do you think this is the synth for me? I'll be sending MIDI from Ableton. I know it's only 4-note polyphony but I like the analog sound and the price

Thanks a lot !! Not sure about that ... I see the possibility of being able to play sounds polyphonically more as an add on (it was added later) ... at least I was never really satisfied with polyphonic sounds. Nonetheless the A4 is a great and deep synth but for me really more like 4 mono synths in one box. Of all the Elektron devices, the Digitone represents that the best for me.

what a terrible situation ... most of us can only imagine how bad such a situation really is. But we are all constantly being fed these horrific images. I don't think it would help you or anyone else if I started putting horrible images in my videos too. The goal with my music is exactly the opposite ... to let you forget the world for a few minutes. I am so sorry that this is not an option for you right now. I really hope that you will be able to enjoy music again soon and this horror will end.

@@substan_music your music is good but your soul is dead, it’s never too late to show what war is especially the war that is still going on to create motivation against killing and destroying. Bad acts need to be projected and demonstrated as BAD, and good things need to be demonstrated as a GOOD. Two motives for life: against and for way much better then one, like eager for power without against deaths and destruction.
