Saw Peach pit about a year ago in Asheville. They did this for the encore, but Neil’s microphone went out during the first verse. Almost immediately, the audience took over and finished the rest of the song for him. That’s a core memory right there

I love that you commented this, but he's not playing X2122X and X5455X. It makes the chords have too much tention. What he's actually playing is just X545XX and X212XX. However, if you can stretch your fingers enough you could play X2124X and X5457X because you would be doubling the 3rd of the chord, it makes the chords sound more open (But i.m.o X545X and X212X fit the mood of the track better)

She dumped me yesterday, she said that she loved someone else. I've been with her since 2012, I love her so much, even I can remember every moment that I spent with her. After the breakup things, I went back to my home riding my motorcycle, this song came out on my queue and suddenly I'm laughing then turns out into crying at the same time. My heart was broken into pieces. I know there's no correlation between my story and this song's lyrics, but the melody is truly made me enjoying my tears. Thank you Peach Pit.

Lyrics Hey there bud, how'd it go last night? I saw you at the band stand looking pretty slammed Did you see me feeding all my drinks to Cam? Probably not I guess, you were quite the mess And that girl who tagged along there with you I never caught her name but she seemed fucked up too From where I sat she looked to be having fun Keeping up with you, just like I used to Hey there bud, how'd it go last night? I'm sorry to have ditched out but I was pretty high Heard from Leslie that on his stumble home Nat was puking up all that beer she'd drunk Though we didn't talk much how'd your evening go You barely spoke a word to me besides that slurred hello But I happened to see without even tryin' How she laughed with you, just like I used to Hey there bud, how'd it go last night? I woke up to a pair of shoes I've not seen next to mine Did you whisper as you crept in through the door How you'd never done much like this before? I was thinking back just the other day Remember when we used to sneak out late to go and blaze Seemed like loneliness was all we'd ever do But now she's knowing you, just like I used to

this song narrates a part of my life. used to listen to this song a lot back in 2017 and never really paid attention to the lyrics. i transferred schools in 2018 which meant my bestfriend and i didn't have time to hangout as much. when we did have the chance to hangout and catch up, we didn't. we both would meet occasionally during parties but he'd be so busy with his girlfriend everytime. i rediscovered this and actually paid attention to the song and shared it to him. we had a good laugh

I have absolutely sobbed to this song after realizing how often I was the person that this song is talking about. How often I got so blindly drunk that I had to be told about my actions the night (or nights ) before that I had no memory of. So many instances of shame seeping in when id get that debriefing. That realization was my first step in addressing my alcoholism. Now I've been sober for a year and a half. It still hits me very hard to hear this and remember how I felt then, but now it also brings a sense of triumph with it. A mourning for who I was and a celebration of who I have become.

This song evokes such strong emotional in me, I don’t know whether to dance or cry. From the lyrics to the beautiful guitar, I just can’t get over it. This song is just so frustratingly good there are just too many emotions to describe, the guitar after the second and third verse always seems to get to me though it’s just too hard to describe how it makes me feel, its like the words are there but they are so far away and foreign. I can’t stop and will never stop listening to this song.

This song keeps me company on my early morning walks to work. I always read it as kind of old-timey (I think the word 'bandstand prompted it), maybe about a pair of men in the 1940s who both have feelings for one another but both play it down and try and fail to focus on their dates instead.

Am I the only one who prefers their live versions to the normal studio recording version. Oh it's just me okay.
