@@rjgomm1852 you're going to have to elaborate on this. How did you book them? Are you friends with them? What songs did they play? How long did they play?
@rjgomm18523 жыл бұрын
@@ellismartin6090 lol whoa that’s a lot of questions! 😅 well I didn’t book them, my friends mom is a pretty famous singer and I think either she did or it was a favor? Idrk. I’m not friends with them in the slightest, that would be rad though! I’m pretty sure they just played all of When We Were Friends, plus some Johnny Cash of course (which was my favorite part). I guess they played maybe for an hour, little less? This was a little over 2 years ago so I really don’t remember all the details. The Utah music community is such a tight knit group of people who just hype each other up, it’s really quite an amazing experience! We used to have something called Rooftop Concerts where Utah musicians could come and perform! I found out about a ton of dope bands that way. Plus, The Backseat Lovers actually performed once! I got to buy a shirt from them there that I wear all the time haha. OH! And if you’re ever in Provo, definitely come to a Velour concert. I got to see TBSL there once too and it was amazing! Such a dope vibe with amazing singers. I’ve been going there since I was 10!

i see a trend in a lot of indie bands, they focus more on songwriting and feel and then they’ll sometimes lack in instrumental quality, where as you guys don’t sacrifice anything, instrumentals, vocals, writing, it’s all amazing. plus the guitarists can actually solo very very well which is rare in modern indie. all in all this is by far the best indie i’ve ever listened to, y’all are gonna go far.

lyrics: We're both throwing smoke into the night It's raining, I suppose you need a ride She said I've got nothing to do and neither do you There's a place down the road where we can waste the whole afternoon I overheard she was 19 She's got a fake ID and a nose ring Those kind of girls tend to know things better than I do And I'm dying to figure out what she's hiding She's just playing it cool but she's lying, better than I do Feels like a night to carry a tune I've been carrying yours since you've wrecked my room And I've got nothing to do and neither do you So let's chase after love and waste away the whole afternoon I overheard that she was 19 with a fake ID and a nose ring Those kind of girls tend to know things better than I do And I'm dying to figure out what she's hiding She's playing it cool but she's lying, better than I do

There’s this guy. He’s the exact opposite of me. We dress completely opposite, like if we stand next to each other it’s almost comical. He’s an extrovert, very bubbly and social, and of course, listens to completely different music than I do. But there’s something about him. His smile and his laugh make me smile. Even though he represents everything I despise, I somehow have feelings for him. The other day he showed me this song, and I fell in love. And this is extremely rare because I’m used to slipknot and slayer. So now this is my indie boy anthem. Update: He got a girlfriend. She’s really pretty. She had blond hair and is really smart. I’m sure she’s perfect for him. Last night was the winter formal. They were slow dancing together. They were hugging each other, swaying. It made me sad. And what’s worse is I still like him. It’s ok, I can be patient. Update: They broke up. Now, normally I would be ecstatic, maybe even happy, but I’m not. I can tell he’s really hurt, and that makes me sad. Hopefully he can heal and move on and work on himself before anything between us can happen. Update: It’s winter break, so we’re not seeing each other at the moment (like physically being near each other). So far I’ve had dreams about him almost every night, it’s kind of freaking me out. But I guess that’s what happens when your an infatuated teenager. His birthday is in February, and I’m planning on drawing him Kurt Cobains face with a man bun (it’s an inside joke), and I’m starting on that now so I can perfect it. Other than that nothing really else is going on. We send each other songs occasionally, but that’s about it. Update: He got yet another girlfriend. Again. She’s really pretty. She wears bright clothes and is very social, just like him. I found out after I saw them holding hands on the way to class a couple days ago. I was devastated. Still kind of am. And he has no clue about any of this. He has no clue that I’m thinking about him constantly, and how sad it makes me when he finds someone new. Sometimes I just wish I never liked him in the first place. Update: I’m starting to think that there’s a reason why we’re not together or at least talking. Maybe we’re just so vastly different that there’s nothing for us to relate to each other. Maybe. I don’t know. I’m not losing feelings, I’m just losing hope. Update: I got a boyfriend (kind of). He got a girlfriend. Virtually nothing can or will ever happen between us in the next year at least. But i really enjoyed the ride of liking him. Im glad i finally lost feelings because it was clearly going nowhere. This song will forever remind me of him, and im glad for that.

i think one of my favorite things about this band is that in every live show or video, josh (singer) uses the same guitar, unlike other bands that have many different guitars for tone and stuff, josh uses the same red guitar , you can also notice the same guitars used by kj and jonas too. this just shows that there not in it to look cool but that they genuinely love creating music and showing people their art.
