Probably not I guess, you were quite the mess And that girl who tagged along there with you I never caught her name but she seemed fucked up too From where I sat she looked to be having fun Keeping up with you, just like I used to Hey there bud, how'd it go last night? I'm sorry to have ditched out but I was pretty high Heard from Leslie that on his stumble home Nat was puking up all that beer she'd drunk Though we didn't talk much how'd your evening go You barely spoke a word to me besides that slurred hello But I happened to see without even tryin' How she laughed with you, just like I used to Hey there bud, how'd it go last night? I woke up to a pair of shoes I've not seen next to mine Did you whisper as you crept in through the door How you'd never done much like this before? I’m not quite sure why but whenever I listen to the song It makes me reminiscent of something that I was never able to have. It makes me crave those moments that everyone will remember from when they were in their own friend group when they grow old and laugh at, but also making you think of what could’ve happened if you chose this path instead of that path. And then all of a sudden you realize that that’s just life and it’s all over it goes pitch black and nothing more nothing less. Overall this song makes me realize that life is a party and in some ways you could be the center of it all or a wall flower but when the parties over it’s over.

This song just helped me to full on cry for the first time in years. Growing up I gave into toxic masculinity and often stifled my emotions, I guess to seem more manly. I was also always pretty lonesome, especially in high school, as my ADD and introversion made me drift away from the few friends I made in elementary. Lately I've been running into troubles, such as the stress of starting my first year of college, the fruitless search for a partner online, and especially quarantine keeping me away from those that matter most to me. Hearing this song reminded me of a conversation I've never had with a friend I've never met, and it seemed to make my solitude a little more bearable. The droning guitar and mellow vocals helped bring out my repressed sadness to a point where I could let it go in the form of tears. It felt good to cry again. If you're reading this, please remember it's always okay to cry.

Peach Pit, I just want you guys to know you have inspired me greatly. Every now and then you stumble across some music that takes your breath away and reminds you why you are alive. Thank you so much. I'm been playing guitar a few years now and have always wanted to start a band with one of my best friends. Well I've decided no more excuses! It's time to make it happen! I hope that our music will one day touch people that way yours has touched me. God bless you

This song makes me look back on all the times girls tried to get to know me and flirt with me. And then it reminds me of how fucked up mentally I was at the time and how I completely missed all those opportunities to get close with someone. But then it reminds me that I’m not the only dude who goes through that stuff. And that how those experiences made me who I am today. And how much I learned from reflecting on those times. Feels like they’re bringing up times like that and then saying that it’s just a part of life and that you’re gonna find someone else who does that to you. Except when you find them, you’ll feel a lot more safe and actually be able to keep things going instead of shutting out to the world. Bless everyone reading this, shit might’ve been rough in the past. But now all we got is the present and the future. And of course our past experiences that’ll help us get through the present and future much better than the first time. Have a blessed day ya’ll for real. Wishing ya’ll the best in whatever endeavors you get yourself into. Presently, or in the future. Much love ya’ll haha

its 2020 now and this song is still a personal favorite. It makes me think of all my old classmates back in high school and how i never really got to make any friends. This song just makes me wish i was part of the fun. But that's the past and years of my growth that i'll never relive. Here's to you guys. Hope you guys are having an awesome life!

Man, this song makes me sad as I look back on the second half of 2019, I was in the best months of my life and then 2020 had to come. It makes me feel nostalgic for those days.

Probably my favourite Peach Pit song actually. It's such a perfect album closer and so perfectly encapsulates both the way I feel about someone in the lyics and the shitty feeling you sometimes get at parties (or afterwards) in the music.
