@@ZXMany If you enjoy Origami King, you might enjoy Color Splash. I actually kind of prefer it to be honest. I also liked Sticker Star though, so not sure how much my opinion should be trusted.

its really cool to see all this stuff that was originally hidden from us for so long and its really surprising that none of the games we got on the gamecube were as good as that demo the games we got always left me wanting more.

That's really interesting! It'd be interesting to see a castle design like this one used in a real game! In the demo you can just walk between rooms and "finish" the game in a few minutes 😂

That explains why I thought this castle looks awesome but unfitting for Peach. It also looks kinda steampunk. I wish I knew how to make games bc this would be an awesome setting for a dark steampunk Mario fangame.

There's a really cool VRchat world that lets you explore a huge amount of Mario environments and locations, and Peach's Castle interior is taken from this tech demo. Other places you can go in the same world include Mario's House from Paper Mario, Bob-omb Battlefield, Whomp's Fortress, and Isle Delfino. As well as areas from Mario Party and DDR Mario Mix. It's probably one of my favorite VRchat worlds just for how much there is to do in it, and there are actual objectives to complete too like catching the rabbit to get the key to the castle, racing Shadow Mario, etc.

I didn't even know this existed, so it was really interesting to learn about it! This was a really good tech demo, it showed pretty well how powerful the Gamecube, one of my most beloved old Nintendo consoles!

I've seen this castle before but not in a direct comparison to SM64's one. Also, you misspelled "Castle" as "Castel" in the beginning section of the video, you might want to change that. 2:39 Oh. I guess I was wrong about your misspelling. Still weird that the demo refers to it as "Castel" though.

Great question! Super Mario 64 was released in 1996 on the Nintendo 64, and this GameCube tech demo was released in the very early 2000s on the next generation's console, so there was a huge leap in terms of graphical quality. As for the castle layout, Super Mario 64 has 15 main courses and several other areas where the "Castle Secret Stars" are obtained (like the aquarium, wing cap level, etc), so Super Mario 64 would need a much bigger castle than the one used in the GameCube tech demo, which had 8 rooms in total including the main hall!
