Mostly due to the conditions of ThunderShame it was a retarded tournament with 20K for first and 2K for second. That made the final intense but attendance shit. Not to mention a lot of people didn't come as it wouldn't have covered travel expenses for most.

It is mostly due to the rules (winner takes it all). The pot for first place was huge 20K (bigger than 1rst place Summit) but most people got nothing (0$ past top 8 and "Most tournaments, like Genesis 6 earlier this year, pay out to the Top 32. Thunder’s cuts off at Top 8, and the lower end of it barely breaks even for tickets and travel." their words not mine). 2nd place get 10% of first which is 2000 which is respectable but a joke in comparaison to first place and 1/4rth of what you win at Summit (as this is what they compare themselves to). So a lot of pro players didn't go there (so few in fact they could announce individually) and as such didn't mediatize/market their deplacement as such very few people came (no reward, no ability to see your favorite players). Just know 69 people showed up to the tour so hardly any crowd anyway when an average pro-tour (with less than half their money) can usually gather 400/600 people for the same region. The price for entry was huge too (70$ if purchased early to 100$). Spectating wasn't cheap either (35 to 40$). And they had the audacity to have a VIP option (front row sits, jersey and a shitty lounge) for 200$. You can compare those price range to any major (to whom they are usually a lot more expensive) except those have seniority, reputation and usually wider price pool (EVO being generally weaker second to 8th being still better off) to cover tradel expenses for players allowing 32 big players to participate. Not to mention that by putting forward a cash pool before inscriptions that ment that inscriptions wouldn't improve the cash for players in any way. I guess they can learn from Summit and have the pro players campaign for them instead of paying a shitload for windgust...

Basically they wanted to have a top heavy huge prize bonus. So first place got 20,000 and second place got 2,000 and then it got smaller and smaller for pay out for top 8. But to do this they basically gutted the production costs so they had a BARE BONES crew and just the essentials that were cheap and shotty. So that's basically why it was so bad, because they gutted the costs of everything else for a huge pot bonus that was skewed top heavy.

MVD was so mad. But both players are playing annoying fighters Olimar can just be more annoying at times. So I don’t have pity for people getting angry while playing Snake or Olimar😂 you players make a ton of people angry and the best thing to do is act happy and giggly. it’ll make people more angry but you look chill. That’s the best thing you can do in your situation. This is why I’m 50/50 with tournaments, I wanna play for fun and enjoy myself. I wanna play with people who are better than me to learn but if people want to be angry at Mario’s other Party game then I can’t do this. I’ll just play with friends, games are suppose to be a fun time. But it’s not just this game of course.
