The TV yellow Special and the Blue SG were my favorites.

Along with the bridge. I would never buy one, but there are people who will.

I had a custom shop LP JR, back in the day. Limed mahogany. Wasn't any better than a garden variety one.

Great shipment of guitars! although I am not digging the guard on the Gibson acoustics but the TV yellow Special and the JR look fantastic and they make me think of how much my 2020 Epiphone Special bolt on has captured the paint job incredibly well. Epiphone are doing a great job on the inspired by Gibson line. Incredible!

Well I guess I misspoke earlier about cosmetic features. You are correct when you mention how the thin finish will affect tone. Really beautiful pieces man

look great but no way I could justify the cost of one. I'd be scared to take it out of the case, nevermind the house to gig with it.

@@tojge Thanks..I got bored with all this "relic' stuff..All these "relic" guitars trying to recreate the past, when nobody today can play them..Hendrix knew nothing about a "relic" What a joke world we live in..

It's always interesting how the English guys pronounce the Gibson "ES" models. They pronounce the numbers out as "three-five-five." Whereas, here in America, we will say "Three-Fifty-Five." The guitars look cool, but the aging is minimal... just weather-checking. I'd rather see more worn finish and nicks and dings. The last one was the best one by far!

ThenTom Petty guitar is sooooooooo overpriced! Its a nice J200, which is a $4,500 guitar all day long. You pay $5500 for Pettys name on it and a funny looking pickguard.

There's a video on KZbin of someone removing the finish from a custom shop Les Paul, it's so plasticky and cheap looking.
@louderthangod3 жыл бұрын
What looks artificial about it? It looks like my older Gibson’s. So many relics make the checking too straight but to me the natural stuff has all sorts of unique patters and random direction changes.
@captainamerica93533 жыл бұрын
@@louderthangod , Idk if it looks fake, but what I'm seeing on camera, at least, is a very thick finish. It looks like a really thick Poly with cracks and checking. But I can't say more without seeing one in person. I suspect that, even with the nosebleed prices, they don't have this down to science yet.
@hankd63123 жыл бұрын
They look really fake Ive never seen a single og gibson that checks like that it looks like someone scribbled on the finish with a stick lol
