Really wish they went with a smaller version of their magnetic latch here. Worth the cost upgrade IMO to market this as an actual viable EDC sling. As it stands (well, it doesn't anymore since they took out the hypalon base that the V1 had...) it is more like the sling you'd take if you forgot your actual sling. Love it as a tech pouch though as I don't carry enough dongles and gizmos to justify the PD tech pouch price.

I got the midnight blue with their leash camera strap (using it for the bag cause it’s easier to adjust and nicer looking than the included one). And I just took it through the airport for the first time and I love the murse. It’s the perfect size to keep my passport, phone, pixel buds, and other essentials easy to access and it stows in my larger personal item bag for getting past the gate check. I am also going to Scotland and I am going to wear it with a belt as a sporran with my kilt. Excellent bag.

Great video. Surprised it doesn’t have many views. This looks like such ah underrated product for its price. It looks perfect for taking on the plane and hanging from the tray table.

I have the v1, which I use to organize some little odds and ends when traveling (oura chargers, cables, running watch, etc). This looks like a nice upgrade. It’s not a perfect bag but it’s overall pretty solid. The new strap system (with an included strap) is a nice touch. I’d still love to see PD tackle a proper sling like the minaal sling, apart from the current line of camera specific slings (which I love).

Wish it was a slide strap that was included, that one looks cheap. Also, for someone that plans to work in the field in the natural sciences, this is why I went with this bag. Plus the ability to expand it to three liters. Think of former cartographers, this is the classic design of a field pouch they went with, except not leather straps, but modern Velcro. Still gives the overall aesthetic of pouches of the past 2 centuries.

Much like the everyday backpack v2, this looks more like a side grade than a direct upgrade. Wished the belt loop could open up like their range pouch so you could take it on and off straps easier. Velcro is ok but I do wish it used an extra form of closure; like an adjustable g hook or buckle that doubles as a strap to hold a jacket or other accessories. Maglatch would add too much bulk and probably won't be cost effective for a bag this size. Internally from what I'm seeing, I feel like I prefer the 1.0 internals more than the 2.0, the 2.0 feels more stripped down compared to the 1.0. I like having all the pockets in the 1.0 to separate my keys, wallet, batteries, Chargers, passport, etc. Would also be interesting to see how practical it would be to have pockets on the flap.

Nice to see all of your valuables are in that pouch, so hand it over to me if you know what's good for you...makes my job alot easier...😎 I have an older one and wear a jacket over it and its harder for pickpockets to get into it because the opening flaps over with Velcro.

I actually prefer velcro. As a growing community of photographers with pacemakers keeps growing, we appreciate options other than magnets that are a potential danger.

@@PackHacker2 From what I can hear in the video, it sounds like it’s a larger space! I’m sure once you have some bags hanging on the wall and such (behind the camera), the room sound will be deadened (not criticizing, sound is plenty clear even with the tiny bit of room reverb, just interesting to note). Excellent Review, Great Bag but the Velcro is disappointing. Tom and the Pack Hacker Team can you please get an explanation from the Peak Design Team on the Velcro selection when a smaller Mag-Latch or G-Hook would have made this the ultimate Pouch/Man Bag. I really want to buy this, but the Velcro is such a turn off and inconsistent with the premium feel of the Peak Design brand. Now i have wait for V3 of the pouch with a safe and tight closing mechanism (Smaller Mag Latch or G-Hook) We Need Answers!!!

Just got one and i checked this video to make sure it wasnt just my bag, but when you pull the strap all the way down, it doesnt lay flat against the bag. Theres slack that makes it look really sloppy. Very disappointed. Otherwise its an ok bag.

How does that flap actually hold on to the main section, i dont see any hooks on that top part of the flaw, it showed glossy in the iverhead camera. Are the hooks that small on the flap, looks like it on camera

@@moonlad3835 yes I do,but looking at the video And the photos. It looks different vs what I I'm used to. I've not seen Velcro where the part with the hooks is so shiny as if there are hardly any hooks present. Not sure I'm explaining it clear

How does the stock strap compare to a PD Leash? Is there enough difference to buy a leash for this bag or is it too similar i.e. not worth buying a leash for it?

I think the main advantage of the PD leashes are their cross-compatibility. I have the PD attachment points permanently on my camera, and a carry a few extra on trips. That way I can grab only one leash and a wrist strap, and use the leash on any PD product at any time. For instance, on a recent trip to Greece I had the travel backpack with the small camera cube. I wanted to bring my camera gear for a dinner, but felt that the backpack was too big-> attached the leash to the small camera cube, which worked out perfectly.

Waiting for the v3 were they do something smart with the flap instead of stupid velcro....peak design really missed the mark on this one. And the straps, will those hooks really will stay in place? Ill pass on this one

Agree, I only use this if I'm carrying camera gear that is very small that doesn't fill it up completely. Completely filling it up only allows a small contact area between the velcro and the velcro keeps coming undone. The other issue is the strap connection points are not at the top of the bag when it's completely full, this causes the bag to want to tip forward. Add in the fact that the velcro doesn't hold well and there's a possibility of your lens/camera falling out. I don't think there's anything wrong with velcro per se, it's just the version they picked. It doesn't hold well at all. First disappointing purchase from peak design. I think a good solution would be to add a zipper to the top opening with the flap covering it.

I hope the durability is also having upgrade, the v1 just horrible. Very weak velcro, the fabric holding ring for attaching quick release tear apart just, not last long for edc cellphone, 10k mah anker and card wallet 😞

meh still velcro... yuck... the interior dividers made it a lot harder to use the V1. Wish they just had a big open space in there with that one zipper compartment for flat objects and that is it.

I don't know how I would use this. I have a phone, wallet, and keys that I put in my pants pockets. I have nothing else to carry, In the colder months, I also have a jacket with pockets.
