Great stuff Dean. Impressed with the multi tasking. Running and talking to the camera at the same time is good going. I have all on not dropping the camera when I’m just walking! 🙈. Can’t wait to get back to Howden and over on to those moors. My favourite part of the Peak District

That loop around the reservoirs is fab. Haven't ventured out into the Peaks since New Year, haven't been confident judging how sensible it was to do so, but I think some tentative excursions are in order!

Have you seen the state those Spine Race/Dragon’s Back runners get themselves into? Unbelievable how hard they punish themselves. I’m trying to run and ride further and I admire your training efforts but I absolutely 100% rule out an ultramarathon. Fortunately, I’ll never be fit enough to have to wonder about entering. Your music gives these videos an added extra. There’s some real talent going into this channel.

Great loop Dean! I’ve actually never been past Howden Dam as I usually turn off into the hills and head up towards Derwent Edge and Lost Lad. Would like to check out that slippery stones area. Fair play on the running too not sure I hack anywhere near that length!

Thanks for a bit of sunshine - it's all gloomy now in Scotland. Looks like a perfect loop - not too steep, just to be enjoyable. Unlike the Spine Race. :) Any plans for smaller races between now and then? And just running or maybe triathlon? Cheers, Seb

Hi Dean I noted you were running the inov8 trail fly. I just ordered a pair in my normal shoe size-9,am thinking , maybe I should have got 9.5? How do you find the fit and the shoe in general?
@DeanRead2 жыл бұрын
hi Alan, thanks for watching. I can highly recommend the Inov8 Terra Ultra G270s as they were called when I bought them. Excellent fit, good longevity and amazing grip on all surfaces. They are quite a wide fit which is perfect for me and I'll definitely be getting another pair as I've almost worn them out. The sole is still going strong but the upper has a couple of holes in the usual spots near toe box where all shoes go.
