I don't think it's explicitly stated, but remember, the first invasion only took place because Yhwach realized Ichigo was in Hueco Mundo and couldn't get there, so they moved the timetable up. This is most likely why they had a limited time frame to cause damage. This time, they actually waited the last bit of time before creating a scenario for a full-scale invasion. Yeah, this is no longer a 'get whomever we can spare right this moment' thing; this is the real deal.

The comparison to Sasuke is even better when you notice that they share voice actor. You literally get to hear nearly same lines about severing ones ties to his friends, with the same voice said by two different characters from 2 shounen anime that once were a part of "Big 3". Regular “zangetsu” takes the form of yhwach from 1,000 years ago as they said last cour. And your right about the young kid yhwach at the beginning of the episode is the form that tensa zangetsu takes during the arrancar arc when Ichigo is trying to get final getsuga. Same when Ichigo is in the mugetsu form to take out aizen, he is supposed to resemble yhwach with the long black hair.

I'll do you a favor. Read Bleach instead of watching. The anime is great for SS Arc to middle of Hueco Mundo Arc but later on it's so obvious the studio start stretching stuff out & slowed the pace to not catch up to the manga chapters. Read the manga but WATCH the fights PLEASE 💀(Except for Szayels fight. Perfect example of the studio screwing the pacing). By reading the manga you'll also see how gruesome & gory Bleach is as to where the anime censored it like a mfk. Reading is also quicker than watching lol. You'll be caught up in no time ready to watch Tybw Cour 1 then 2🎉.

They're being subjected to heavy spiritual pressure. Similar concept to the DBZ gravity thing I suppose. I was also confused why Keigo knew Shunsui was from squad 8. I feel like I heard somewhere that the manga stated that someone (forgot who) caught them up to speed after the Aizen incident instead of just erasing their memory like before. Even knowing this I *still* think it's a little odd that he knew that much.

Jettro what Shunsui was saying is remember when Aizen in his final form went to the Karakura Town with Gin. Remember how just him being there was instantly killing most people and flat out erasing their existence without him doing anything, that's what Shunsui meant by he can't let Ichigo come back to the World of the Living. Also remember back when the Captains first fought Arrancars when we first saw Rukia's new sword. Both the Captains and Lieutenants had to have a mark placed on them to severely nerf their abilities by 80% bcus of the fact it would have the same level of effect Aizen did in his final form. So to keep the world at balance they have limiters placed on them. If I'm remembering it right 5th Seats and Up can passively have that type of effect on the World of the Living and naturally the higher rank you are the harsher the effects will be

OMG EVERYBODY missed it. I havent seen ANY bleach conten talk about this. In the dangai i jigo fight tensa zangetsu , the eyes on zangetsu were blue. AND THEN once ichgo started the mugestu . They show ixhigo eyes and they were " RED". Ywhbach had reds then blue then brown. Kubo uses hair and eyes to show alot. Red is for shinngami, blue for quincy Ao he started as a aoul reaper then progress to where he is.

Remember the higher dimensional power Ichigo used to defeat Aizen, the transcendent being who surpassed all Soul Reapers and hollows? Ichibe is basically saying Ichigo needs to get back to that level. And this time, it wont be through some kamikaze zanpakuto technique but his real genuine base level. So yeah, one-shotting Grimmjow and Ulquiorra would be an understatement lol Also, Rukia and Renji aren't in a gravity chamber, it's because of the density of spirit particles in the air. In the manga scene they're a bit clearer and she says it was like being underwater. The energy in that area was so dense and they were so weak that they couldn't even breath. But now they've gotten used to it, and even Rukia wonders what that means for their power level
