I agree with using velomobiles.Check out the new Organic Transit ELF Velomobiles (made in the USA too).They even have solar charging and are very inexpensive compared to European commercially made ones.It's even a cargo Velomobile (can carry 350 pounds of cargo in addition to a 175 pound rider).

I suggest people look at velomobiles. A velomobile is a recumbent tricycle with an aerodynamic fairing. Velomobiles offer higher speed then a bicycle, can have electric assist and offer weather proofing. Why not just get rid of private cars all together. The world would be a better place for it.

@experimental0000 Cycling, and promoting cycling by govt, is the best course of action. So many people say, why not electric cars, hydrogen cars etc. All that does is switch effectively from one finite resource to another. Where are you going to get all that new electricity/ hydrogen from? Most likely by burning coal in a power station. The problem with cars is that they require a lot of power to move them, power that could be used more effectively somewhere else.
